Kitano City Recreational Stadium, planet Kitano. 11pm local time.

*Reese's POV*

I took my seat just as a wave of fireworks went off. The crowd went nuts, cheering so loud it could wake you up the next planet over.

"Alright, citizens!" A voice sounded over the stadium's PA system. "Welcome to the first night of the Champion of Kitano combat games! Please welcome a special guest, Umdrel!"

Just then, an alien clad in leather armor walked into the arena. He was extremely muscular, stark white, had large green eyes, and three-fingered hands. It looked like he was at least seven to eight feet tall.

"Umdrel, as you all remember, was last month's champion. While I know you all wish to see him battle a new competitor, Umdrel here will test his might against a rare creature from many light years away. Release the Thurlok!"

Just then, a large section of the stadium wall flew up, and all I could see was a large, beetle-like creature run out on six, cloven hooved legs. It had large pincers protruding from its head, much like beetles back home, minus the fact this...Thurlok...was the size of a goddamn school bus!

I watched as it charged Umdrel, who managed to hold it back with just his bare hands, not even reaching for the strange hammer he had on his side.

I looked to my right, and nudged a Kaisect next to me. The tendril headed alien looked at me in confusion through its four blue eyes.

"What is Umdrel?" I asked him.

"He's a Virdothian," the alien who I nicknamed Bob in my head. "His people boast impressive physical strength and durability, but aren't quite as smart or quick as other people like us. Speaking of which, what are you? I hope that's not rude, it's just I can't see your face on account of your mask. By the way, it's pretty stylish."

I froze. I did not expect Bob to ask me that; I did not want to answer, out of fear I'd be thrown into the ring with Umdrel and the giant space beetle.

"Well, I'm definitely not a...Virdothian." I replied.

"Aw, come on, don't be shy, mister. You've got me curious." Bob tried to place a hand on my wrist, only for it to slip, accidentally rolling up some of my sleeve.

Bob looked at my arm, and I saw his eyes widen. "Another Ardanian? Wow!"

"Human," I replied. " We call ourselves humans--wait, what other one?"

"You're the second one I've met today. Oh wow, this is awesome!"

"Where is the other...Ardanian?" I immediately hated myself for using the word.

Bob grinned from ear to ear. "He's over there." He pointed to the...other end of the stadium.

Looking past the epic battle taking place, I looked out to where he pointed and spotted the other human. However, he was wrapped in a blue cloth, only showing his eyes...which were pointed at me.

Just then, I spotted him bolt it from his seat, most likely heading for an exit.

On some random instinct, I sprung up from my seat, and bending down, I shot myself back up. However, I found myself gliding through the air, as well as the crowd all focusing on me.

"What's this?!" The announcer sounded. "It appears we have an impressive fan in our stands!"

As I touched down near where the other human was, I looked around for him. Luckily, due to telepathy, courtesy of Grey experiments, I managed to isolate his brainwaves, and tracked him to outside of the stadium.

I took off, sprinting at twenty five miles an hour. While not impressive back home, here I was looked at like some sort of god.

After blitzing through people and barricades, I managed to spot the human on the fringes of a crowd.

"Hey!" I shouted. "I can help you out bro!"

He kept running, so did I. I chased him to the large entrance-exit doors that lead to the main square. As soon as I put my hand on his shoulder, I could feel it vibrate.

"Leave me alone!" He yelled, then proceeded to hit me with a strange mace-like weapon hidden underneath his blue cloth. The force of the hit was...well, it was not human, at all.

Within seconds, I flew past several halls, then walls and windows, until...I crashed into the main arena of the stadium not too far from Umdrel and the space beetle.

I slowly picked myself up, and watched as Umdrel ran towards a part of the arena wall. I then shifted focus back to the hole I made to see the other human standing there, minus the blue robe.

This guy was human, there was no doubt. He had shoulder length brown hair, a light scruff of facial hair and a scar across his right cheek. His clothing, or rather armor, was impressive. It reminded me of a knight's armor, but instead of steel, it was made of a dark gold material. It had a large shoulder plate, completely covering the left side. On his waist was a red sash that went down to his knee. Throughout the armor were intricate sets of symbols in rows all throughout the silver trim accenting the gold.

"I'm only going to say this once." he barked. "Stay away from me."

"Look, whoever you are-" I replied.

"My name is Colin!" He screamed.

"Colin, I just want to know how you got here, and if you're really human like me."

Colin simply growled at me, his mace twitched in his hands.

"Or we could just duke it out."

"Now you're talking." Colin then charged at me.

As he brought his mace down to me, I sidestepped to the left hoping to get a jab in, only to get a boot in my chest, sending me flying a few feet.

I quickly got back up, and I rushed Colin. Utilizing my enhanced reflexes, I threw punch after punch, hoping to hit him. Unfortunately, Colin seemed to be just as fast, deflecting each hit with either a gauntlet or his mace.

While focusing on the fight, I could hear the crowd roaring.

I quickly shifted to a roundhouse kick, and managed to impact Colin's armor, sending him back through the air.

I could see the look of puzzlement in his eyes as he got up. I was not prepared for what happened next; Colin began to levitate off the ground, and he...flew towards me, mace pointed directly at my face.

I simply leapt upward, and somersaulted forward, barely avoiding Colin's attack. Tapping into the abilities I have thanks to alien experiments, I attacked Colin's mind with a quick telepathic burst, stunning him.

Utilizing the few seconds I bought myself, I ripped Colin's mace from his hand, and upon touching it, I could feel a powerful shock surge through me. I immediately threw the weapon, and before I could throw a punch, Colin grabbed my throat, and with his free hand, summoned his mace to his hand. I could see his eyes glow blue shortly before taking a mace to the chest.

I flew upward, then hit the ground hard. If not for the enhancements, the fall would have killed me.

Before either of us could continue, I could hear a spectator nearby yell the word "Security Units!"

I could only surmise this meant someone called the cops, so before I could throw a punch, I simply put my hands up.

"I surrender, bro." I said to a confused Colin.

"Somebody called the space police, probably on us. Much as I want to keep fighting here, I got a ship in drydock that I think we should head to."

Colin, taking a moment to not try and beat me half to death, hooked his mace to his waist.

"Where's it at?"

"Follow me." Immediately, I ran towards the stands and leapt up, using the risers as steps.

Colin followed right beside me, and I felt it was the right time to ask a question.

"Who...what are you, Colin?"
