🇦yato and Raven were in the training room, throwing fists and kicks at each other, due to Raven having the idea that she somehow needed to prepare herself in case things went bad with Kaneki and his squad. 

"Never take your eyes off your opponent," Ayato grunts, as he sends a roundhouse kick at her to which she dives under.

"I know that," Raven retorts, as she swings her leg under him, knocking him on his back.

They both jump to their feet, standing in defensive positions again. Ayato scrunches up his eyes, his lips pulling back into a foreign smile that looks odd on him. 

"Oh Raven, you don't know how much I missed you. I love you so much," his voice was now at a higher pitch, catching Raven off guard by the way he's acting.

"What?" She muddles, raising a brow, allowing Ayato to strike a foot in her chest, knocking her back.

"Never let your guard down," he continues, his voice and expression back to normal.

Raven rises back on her feet, casting the blue-haired boy an annoyed glare. "Damn you," she scowls.

"Had to show you that you can't let your guard down. The moment you let your guard down is the moment you allow a Dove to kill you, or at least try."

She nods, "yeah, I figured that." She replies, before running and sliding underneath him, knocking him back down again with a kick to the shin. 

This time, Ayato steals the chance to get on top of her before she could get back on her feet, pinning her hands down against the floor. She struggles underneath his grip, trying to break free. She pauses to puff her cheeks and scowl at him, causing fleeting stirrings within Ayato at her expression that he found kind of adorable.

"Ayato, I doubt Kaneki, or... Haise is gonna pin me down."

"No, probably not, but if he has any sort of memory of you; not a complete set but just enough, he'll probably use it against you. Or maybe have a record of his old self and connect it with you. So if he tries to lower your guard down with honeyed words, don't fucking fall for it. Got it?" Ayato warns.

"Yes, I got it," she grunts, reaching up and shoving a foot in his gut, sending him flying off her. She then rolls across the ground, quickly covering the distance, now being the one to pin Ayato down, almost nearly causing a flush in Ayato at the proximity.

"I win," she grins a teasing smile, making Ayato roll his pupils.

"Tch."

🇴nce more, Raven found herself perched upon the ledge of a building. It happened to be one of the buildings closest to the cafe that Haise and his Quinx squad, but mainly Haise alone, would visit. The cafe also happened to be the remake of Anteiku, but of course with a different name and fewer employees. 

A masculine sigh was heard from behind her, watching her sit in a frog-legged position on the ledge. "Out here again, huh?"

Raven turned her head over her shoulder to find Ayato standing behind her. She turned her gaze back in its original direction, "what are you doing here?" Her voice came out low and unwelcoming.

 Ayato shifted his eyes to the side, slightly lowering his head a bit. "I realized you were gone and I know you weren't given a mission, so I figured you were here. Again," Ayato nearly lets out a disappointed sigh at her relentless watching over Haise, even if he was with his squad.
