Then We Fell

Chapter one

Hey guys the first chapter is here. I would fairly appreciate it if you would vote and leave some comments about the book. I might make some errors but am only human. This is my first book to write and gradually I hope that it may have some read's....warning may contain cussing language, READ at your own risk

'STAY ON GUARD, DON'T CAUSE ATTENTION, BE CAUTIOUS'

I guess that's my reality.

A sudden breeze pricks the top of my skin and in response, I feel the cold air encircle around me I  give a quick scan at the new place in which we have resided to. In the background, I can hear my mum calling out for me asking for help with the luggage which was left in the driveway.

But my attention is drawn to the luxurious house am seeing next door. Am staring at the house giving a quick analysis about the place when I feel a sudden hand brush my shoulder

"Kaylee! Honey, we have a lot of unpacking to do but first let's get all the luggage inside" says my mum with a smile plastered on her face. Sometimes I envy her, with all the things we've been through and she's willing to try and move past it, But I know that deep down things will never be the same for us

"Okay" I say faintly

As I am carrying some of the luggage my attention shifts to the reason why we had moved 'again' It's just so tiring 'the running, the treats, the fear'

I cringe at the last thought which dreads me more than anything
'The fear'

'Having to leave in fear for most of my life, feeling dreadful of each and every breath I take -'

"Kaylee watch out!"

"Huh?"

Boom

"Arrrgggh"

That was when I felt the sharp pain sting through my leg and all the luggage I was carrying fell to the ground

When I bent down a perfect scar had formed just below my knee and stains of blood dripped through it

Shit

Am not sure what I hit into but it had scrapped me just below my knee and caused me to drop all the bags I had

"Honey are you all right!" She stares at me in horror "Gosh your bleeding, let me get the first aid kit "
And just like that, she storms off

"Shit " I mumble in frustration

In an effort to stop the bleeding I grab a piece of cloth from one of the suitcases that had fallen and wrap it below my knee which turns out in vain so instead, I just give up

My attention bickers back to the luxurious house next door and I'm not sure why? from my point of view the house looks well decorated from the outside with furniture by the porch and I can easily view the front part of the house from the driveway
But then something catches my eye, A muscular frame walks out. I can't quite make out his features except what he's wearing

When I don't look away he catches me staring and immediately I break the eye contact

'Great I bet I looked like some freak'
