"You know, Ms Haris gave us homework," said Lily, as she walked down the busy corridor with Lexi.
"Really?" Lily nodded. "Oh, Shi-" Lexi started to swear.
"Girls, language!" Both girls spun around to find Mr Pappin, the school Assistant Principle. Both girls nodded quickly, and spun back around, weaving their way through the ever so loud corridor.
"Oh well, I can always say I had a funeral or something.." Lexi sighed. The last period of the day was English, her worst subject. Ms Harris wasn't very generous whe it came to homework, so if one person forgot to do their homework, that was five minuets in after class.
As the two girls reached the door of the class, Lexi took a deep breath and stepped through, expecting to see the grouchy figure of her teacher in front of the White board. But instead, she found Mrs McAlam, her previous years Humanities teacher. They were ushered into their seats, and as soon as everyone was seated, the boring and tedious hour of class begun.
"Everyone, take out your books. Today, we are discussing Chapter Four: The Alethiometer." The teacher opened up the book, and continued. "You have 45 minuets to complete the chapter. You may begin.
* 45 mins later*
"Class! Please place your books down!" Announced the teacher. Tired, Lexi put her book down, and suddenly, felt a tap on her shoulder, she looked behind her and fund a paper ball on the floor.
Picking it up, she read,
Lexi-
meet me by the school gates at 3:30.Looking at the students behind her, she was confused that everyone seemed to be concentrating on their set task. No one seemed to be waiting for her to notice them.
But who would throw a paper ball at m-"Lexi, dear. I asked you a question." Ms McAlam's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"S-sorry, miss! Uhh, could U please repeat the question..?" Asked Lexi, slightly embarrassed as giggles were heard from behind.
"I said, who does Lyra spend the whole meal talking with, and who does she completely ignore?" Ms McAlam asked, sought amusement in her voice.
"U-UH..." Racking her brains, her mouth soon produced the right words. "Lyra spends the whole meal talking to Ms Coulter, and completely ignores the librarian."
"Good." With a small smile, the teacher made one last announcement that was sweet to the ears. "Class dismissed!"

A small backpack over her shoulder, Lexi made her way to the front of the school.who on earth would want to meet me? Lexi asked herself.
After 15 minuets waiting at the gate, she started to get impatient. It was already 3:40, according to her phone. "Who would give me a time and place, and not be there on tim-" Lexi started to ask herself, when a slight cough was heard.
She spun around, and looked up into the face of the school Head Boy, Daemon, who was, in fact, hot as hell. "Sorry, I got caught up in at the lockers..." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
Hey guys!
I know I haven't finished Our Forbidden Love, and I'm sorry, but I kinda got distracted... Oops?
Tbh, OFL might not be completed. really sorry.
But anyways, the book mentioned in this chapter is Norther Lights by Phillip Pullman.
I've got a lot of drama and stuff going on at school, so I'm sorry if I don't update often...
I'll try for an update every week..But enough of the sad stuff.
I kinda got inspired to write this story by something going on in school, but I've changed the genders and a lot of things so it's not so obvious :')
I'll try to make the next chapter a ted longer, hehehehe...
Well, if u liked the first chapter, don't forget to
