Chapter 16

Ender Star of the End Nation

Ender Star was looking closely at the page of the book she was reading, due to her concussion it was hard for her to read and a part of her recovery was fluent reading. The... Nether... is... the... most... dangerous... dimension... created... by... Notch... She read in her head. Then her vision blurred and she put the book down.

"I don't really think this is working, I'm still reading as slow as I did before." Ender Star said to Lotus and Blaze burst into the tent panting heavily and sweating.

"Ender Star! We have a huge problem!!" Blaze gasped and Ender Star jumped up.

"What's going on?" Ender Star asked.

"Fire Star, he knows... he knows you're alive and he's coming here right NOW!!!" Blaze said clearly panicking.

"Wait what?!" Lotus asked.

"I don't know but we need to get Ender Star on her dragon and in the air and as far away from here as possible as soon as possible!" Blaze said his voice shaking.

"Blaze, she's in no condition for flight." Lotus protested and Ender Star nodded in agreement, she knew that if she couldn't read normally she clearly couldn't fly in a straight line and Blaze was silent for a minute.

"Then I'll fly. Ender Pearl is a very smart dragon and she can help me get Ender Star to a safe place." Blaze replied and then Ender Star heard a lot of chatter outside the tent.

"Flare, Where is Blaze? I won't ask again." asked a deep voice outside.

"H-He's in t-the t-tent." Flare's stammering voice said. There was a ripple in the wool sheet of the tent and a growl from out the front of the tent.

"Ender Star we need to get you out of here!" Blaze said the panic in his voice rising with each tick that passed. Then everything went silent when there was a loud roar from outside the tent and Ender Star realized that was her dragon. Instinctively Ender Star ran out of the tent and saw her dragon curled up near the exit of the tent shaking with fear and standing in front of Ender Star was the one and only, Fire Star. As soon as Fire Star saw her his eyes when wide with recognition. Ender Star was about to step back when Fire Star drew his Fire Sword and swung it with all his might at Ender Star. She fell to the ground, closed her eyes and braced for impact but none came. CLANG!!! Ender Star looked up and saw Blaze holding the Ender Sword above his head and standing in between Ender Star and Fire Star. Fire Star had a look of disbelief on his face.

"Blaze, what are you doing? Why are you helping the End Nation warrior? The enemy?" Fire Star asked sternly.

"Fire Star, sir, the End Nation Citizens are different than we've all been told by our ancestors." Blaze said and Ender Star sat up. Fire Star lowered his sword and Blaze did the same but neither of them put away their Weapons.

"Blaze, What do you mean?" Fire Star asked confused.

"We've been taught that End Nation warriors were cold, heartless, emotionless people who refused to use their powers to help us escape the Far lands' boundaries but the truth is the opposite, Ender Star here, is kind and not only saved my life but Flare's life as well." Blaze answered and then Fire Star dropped his sword on the ground and turned his head to Flare who was trying to comfort Ender Pearl.

"Flare? Is- Is it true?" Fire Star asked looking at Flare.

"Yes Dad. She saved me using Ender Dragon acid, during the storm that hit a few days ago me and Blaze got separated, I got stuck under a fallen tree and broke my leg, after hours of being stuck there they found me and Ender Star used some acid to break the log and help Blaze get it off me, She saved my life." Flare explained. Ender Star could tell that Fire Star was conflicted between feelings. Fire Star then approached Ender Star and held his hand out to her. She hesitated for a second then took his hand and he helped her to her feet. Ender Star swallowed a lump in her throat.

"I'm sorry Ender Star, If I had known I would have-" Fire Star was cut off my Ender Star.

"It's not your fault, your ancestors taught you all false facts about us." Ender Star replied.

"So did our ancestors start the war? Or did your ancestors start it?" Fire Star asked.

"Well, The End Nation couldn't use their powers in the Nether and The Fire Nation was envious of the ability and thought that by killing End Nation citizens they would gain the ability too, but that didn't happen, and the End Nation decided to fight back, so in all reality, it was a combination of the two sides that caused the war." Ender Star answered.

"Well I guess now is the time to make peace." Fire Star replied holding his hand out for Ender Star to confirm peace. Ender Star took his hand and gently shook hands with Fire Star. Suddenly a strange purple glow came from the crystal necklace around her neck she looked down at it. Snap! Ender Star looked up and saw the red crystal around Fire Star's neck snapped and the crystal flew over to Ender Star and slipped onto the Necklace right next to the Purple Crystal.

"Is that normal?" Ender Star asked looking up at Fire Star. He shrugged and looked at the Red and Purple crystals attached to the thin Spider Silk string around Ender Star's neck.
