Silver Nightshade

Chapter One

Zoë sat in her tent, gently placing her hands on her swollen belly, silently praying that none of the other hunters would find out, it would be even worse if Lady Artemis found out and what if they decided to cast Zoë out? Or worse, kill her unborn child?!

She had hid it well within the first three months, then the fourth, but month five shown a lot of growth in her abdomen. For the moment the Hunters of Artemis were visiting camp half blood, and even then Zoë Nightshade refused to leave her tent.

Then, disaster struck...

Without warning Phoebe entered Zoë's tent and saw what she was hiding, Zoë stood up quickly and clapped her hand over her 'sister's' mouth. "Thy musn't tell anyone!" Zoë pleaded, Phoebe nodded slowly, she let her go and her 'sister' slowly walked away.

Then hours later when Zoë was asleep Artemis came into her tent and woke her. "Is it true?" Was all the goddess asked, she came to the conclusion that Phoebe told Artemis and could only nod slowly. "Who did it?" Zoë couldn't look Artemis in the eye, what would Artemis do when she told her? "I... It was Percy... Son of Poseidon..." Admitted the black haired hunter. Artemis nodded and stood up slowly to go wherever.

The Next Day...

Percy had been summoned to Artemis' tent, on his way there he was thrown some nasty glares from the hunters, Thalia was escorting him - she had no idea what was going on. "I'll have your neck Jackson..." Said the hunter named Phoebe glaring at him as he walked by. "Can we stop before visiting Artemis? I wanna check on a friend..." Percy told Thalia before peering into Zoë Nightshade's tent, she wasn't there.

As he continued to Artemis' tent he got smacked across the side of the face by Bianca. "Why are they mad at me?" He asked Thalia. "Probably the same reason the goddess of the hunt and maidens wants to talk to you Seaweed Brain." Thalia said with a shrug.

Once they reached the tent Thalia waited outside, when Percy went inside he saw Zoë sleeping in a bed next to where Artemis was sitting. "U-uh, greetings Lady Artemis." Percy said and bowed, Artemis shot him a glance. "Perseus Jackson, is it true you had sex with one of my hunters? Let alone my Lieutenant?" Artemis asked, pulling Percy over. "Um... If you mean with Zoë then yes..." He said shakily, Artemis suddenly slapped him. "Have you no idea what you've done to her!" Yelled the goddess.

Percy was very confused, until he got a good look at the black haired hunter whom he'd befriended, his jaw dropped. "I didn't know - she never told me!" Percy said in astonishment and fear.

Behind Percy all the hunters had gathered outside the tent, ready to cut him through, Thalia had to hold them off. "Lady Artemis! Please call them off!" Thalia yelled.

Eventually Artemis ended up calling off her hunters, but they still lingered around the tent, Artemis spent an hour yelling at Percy until finally Zoë had - had enough with all the yelling. She brought Percy back to her tent to talk.
