You hated silence.

Which is weird, almost, as you found silence was, and still is the most peaceful situation you would rather engulfed yourself in. Silence made you felt comfortable, content and calm. Most of the time, to be honest.

But while you laid there on the bed, staring at the dark ceiling of your room in the middle of the night? No. You hated silence, they made your head loud with unnecessary thoughts. Good thoughts, positive thoughts but mostly bad ones - bad ones that were hard to remove, hard to toss, hard to avoid.

If that wasn't bad enough, they would keep you away from shutting your eyes closed, as if you didn't have a hard time dealing with insomnia already. You weren't sure what those thoughts sometimes, but they always made you feel ugly. Uneasy. Angry.

Taking a deep breath, you exhaled quietly - trying to calm yourself down and tried to push the thoughts away. You laid still, unmoving but were itching to do something. Your eyes were heavy, but the thoughts were so loud and heavier - preventing you from shutting your eyes off. It annoyed you, as always.

You can feel the headache coming, pounding your head mercilessly. Reaching your hand up slowly, you begin to rubbed your temples to soothe the pain. This is your routine, every single day. You laid awake at night, with head pounding and filled with heavy thoughts, getting a few hours of sleep at dawn, woke up at 9 am and the circles continued.

Your body hardly getting any proper rest.

Your eyes opened suddenly, face scrunching with regret when you felt a gentle grip around your wrist - pulling it down from your temples. You heard a soft and gentle sigh from beside you, listening to the sound of her body moved against the sheets in the silentness of the room.

You laid still, not moving even after you felt her finger danced on your temple. You felt your breath even, your body relaxed against the bed at her simple gesture. You sighed and looked at her, shaking your head in disbelief.

Even in the dimness of the room from the lacking of light, she was breathtaking. The lazy smiles pulled from her lips, her droopy eyes and her tousled hair - she is beautiful. Another thoughts appeared and you wondered how is she even real.

She chuckled, smirking lightly before shaking her head as well. "Come here," she whispered, as she tried to pull herself up with her back rested onto the headboard. "Baby," she called, tugging you when you made no move to her.

You sighed sadly, "I'm sorry," you sat up and rubbed your face tiredly, knowing even you made no move that caused her to wake up, your thoughts did and you felt terrible.

She scooted closer and draped the comforter over your naked body, hugging you to keep you warm before she cutely rested her chin on your shoulder. Her own naked body was warming you up more than anything and it made you feel content, feeling her body close to you.

Silence, you loved them.

With her arms wrapped around you, her bare skin against yours - smooth and soft, you felt the safest ever being in her arms. Her slow breathing and just her presence calmed you down. Gone the bad thoughts, your heart felt light again. This kind of silence, you loved them the most.

No words were uttered and she didn't even do anything but hold you. She nuzzled her face against your neck, leaving soft pecks. The silent comforts, were all you needed at that moment.

You perked up, startled from your calmed mind when she slowly move and pulled the comforter away from her own body. You watched with silent gaze when she crawled slowly to face you, your eyes admiring her naked body fondly. You reached out and caressed her arms with the back of your hand, smiling when you noticed her nipples hardened and goosebumps appeared on her skin from your gentle gestures before moving to whereas her heart was beating, caressing the skin with your knuckles - innocently.

You were wondering how could this beautiful heart was beating hard for you.

"They're yours," She took your hand and pressed a soft kiss on your knuckles. "Of course they would beat that hard for you." she whispered, smiling sweetly.

"I don't deserved it," you whispered, confused - genuinely.

She reached out a hand and caressed your temples, "Shh, go away," she didn't even attempt to use her powers on you, you knew but it was working perfectly on how she chased the thoughts away by whispering sweet nothings and how much she loves you while she keep caressing your temples.

You watched fondly when she suddenly move towards you, drapping the comforter around the both of you while she straddled your laps. She shrunk her body cutely, snuggling into you, "Cold," she grinned sheepishly.

You chuckled, wrapping your arms around her tighter. "You should sleep, love." you rubbed her back soothingly, feeling her body relaxed in your hold.

She didn't say anything but gave you soft caresses and gentle pecks on your skin. This kind of silence soothed you, that made you rested your head on her shoulder while she played with your hair - caressing the back of your head.

Moving her head, she left a peck on your temple. "Be kind to my baby, please, dear thoughts. She is loved, she is good enough, she is the love of my life. Don't hurt her anymore, please." she whispered against your temples.

You released a shaky breath, pulling away to look at her and found her smiling at you fondly. She cupped your face, leaning in to give another soft pecks all over your face. You scrunched your face cutely, heart filled with love towards this woman in front of you. Your heart felt light, content, peaceful. And you will remind yourself that you are loved, you are good enough in the form of her voice, affection and remind yourself of how lucky you are.

"I love you," you smiled at her, eyes teary.

She looked at you for a second and kissed you slowly, as if she tried to tell you through her gestures. Releasing your lips with a gentle pop, you both fluttered your eyes at the same time and you knew then, that you didn't need her to say it. Her eyes said it all, the way it sparkled and the way she gazed you with that lingering that screamed fondness and affection, you knew.

"I love you too." she pecked your nose. "More than anything in this world." she kissed you passionately, thumbs caressing your cheeks. She then smiled and pulled down the comforter slightly and brought your head to her bare chest, caressing your head with her thumb.

She squirmed a little to get a comfortable position in your embrace, cradling your head and thumb rubbed on the back of your ear - knowing that was your favourite. Silence again, but it wasn't heavy with your thoughts.

It wasn't long before her comforts lulled you slowly into the darkness, eyes drooping heavily as you let your weight rested on her. Your breath was even, slowed. Heartbeat of hers, slow breathing of hers against your ear and her warmness against yours.. you finally let yourself go and succumbed to sleep.

She smiled silently, knowing how her technique without using her powers worked. She kissed your head gently and cradled your body in her arms as she brought you down to lay onto the bed. It was like handling a baby - her baby, the love of her life.

She crawled slowly to you and rested her ear against your chest, listening to your heartbeat to lulled her back to sleep.

She was content.
