I sit down next to him and stare at him.
"H-hi" I stutter. He doesn't budge.
"I'm Millie" I say barely above a wisper. He still doesn't budge
"Hi, I'm Millie" I say a little louder cause he might not have heard me the first time.

He looks at me and rolls his eyes.
"I heard you the first time" he says arrogantly. "Oh, S-sorry, I-I thought you didn't hear m-me" I stutter. He just stares at me.
"Y-you didn't respond" I say while my cheeks were turning a light shade of pink.

He stares me in the eye and I stare back.
He has really brown eyes. Those eyes you could get lost in.

"Millie!" the teacher yells at me, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Y-yes sir?" I say nervously. "Did you even hear the question I just asked you?" he asks angrily
"N-no sir, sorry" I say with a face redder than a tomato.

"Why not? Was it because you were talking to Finn next to you?" he asks me, matching his tone from earlier. "N-no sir, I was just-" I try but he already cuts me off.
"Miss Brown, you can't walk into my class late and disturb my class.." he says. "Both of you detention" he snaps.

"What?! Me too? I didn't even do anything!" Finn protests. "You we're talking to Miss. Brown" the teacher says back. "She was-" Finn starts but the teacher raises his hand signaling for him to keep his mouth shut.
"Thank's a lot, Brown" Finn mutters sarcastically underneath his breath.

                                    _

"I'm leaving the classroom for a minute, you two keep doing your homework or I'll send you to the principal" the teacher says sternly. "Y-yes sir" I stutter.

A few moments after the teacher leaves the classroom a phone rings. My phone rings. I quickly turn it off and put it back in my bag, only to look up again and lock my eyes with the oh so familiar ones.

"Mommy wondering when you're coming home?" Finn says sarcastically, while leaning on my table.
"N-no" I stutter. "Then who called?" he asks not actually caring.
"Don't know" I mutter as I look down, getting back to work.

"Are you going to answer me?" he says arrogantly. "I already answered you" I say, still looking at my papers.
"No you didn't" he says, getting on my nerves. "Yes Finn, I did" I say sternly. He moves his face inches away from mine and burns his eyes into mine.

"Millie, why won't you answer me?" he says in a stern, deep voice. My eyes scanned his face, his brown eyes, down to his nose, to his lips that looked... oh so kissable. "I told you, I don't know" I say softly. "Whatever" he says carelessly and turns around.

This was going to be a long year, I thought to myself.
