Light filtered through the leaves and brambles of the nursery. It was a sunny greenleaf day and Milkweed had just had her first litter. She was excited and couldn't wait to tell her mate, Curlystar, about their new kit. She had given birth to one kit and fiercely protected it until it was old enough to get up on its own. She lovingly gave it the name Juniperkit.
Juniperkit almost didn't make it, but with the help of Shadowclan's Medicine cat, Juniperkit was able to survive. Juniperkit was so inspired by the Medicine cat's persistence and dedication, that he wanted to be a medicine cat.
