"Another quest?!" I yelled as I slammed my fist onto the table. "I was supposed to go on break after the last one! I need to deliver my cousin's birthday present!"
"Don't worry, Blair. This will be your last one before then. Now, let me tell you about this quest you will be taking..." I watch as Mrs. Laydee pulls out a map. I look at all her wrinkles, and wonder what could've aged her so much. She's only 40, you know.
"Now... Lance, Prince of the Clover Kingdom, is looking for a new queen. If he finds a queen before his brother, he will become king. Now, that's what doesn't need to happen. If he becomes king, he will declare war on the Spades Kingdom and force the rest to be their allies." She says. I can't help but wonder...
"Why am I going? Isn't he looking for a Queen? I'm a girl, you know." I ask.
"All the men are on duty. You on the other hand, are not." She says as she points out his castle on the map. "Anyway, here he is. Now, when you get there, be careful. He knows magic, and could cast a spell that could make you kill yourself, or something." I look at her as if she had five extra arms.
"Wow... Thanks for the pep talk... I'll be leaving, now." I saw sarcastically. I wave goodbye, and go home to start packing.
While I was packing, I had a strange urge to eat... I wasn't hungry, I just felt like I needed to eat something. However, I ignored the urge and finished up packing and headed to bed.
