This story begins in a kingdom far away on an island called Snow Island; Where the Snow King and the Snow Queen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who they named Princess Alisa. Three years later across the island a new kingdom was established; the fire kingdom. When the fire kingdom was built all people in the snow kingdom and castle became infused with panic. Wanting to protect her baby from any harm the Snow Queen Leah shielded Alisa from any and all news about the fire kingdom by keeping her in the tower.

When Alisa turned five she was allowed to come down to the dining hall for her birthday party it was the first time she had seen any part of the kingdom. During her party Queen Leah became faint and King Edward called the doctor, because there would be people coming in to the castle King Edward made Alisa go back into the tower. “No, Papa!” Alisa said “Now, Alisa.” King Edward said in a deep voice. Alisa did what she was told and went back to the tower. When the doctor came he told the king that the queen was ill. King Edward told everyone on the staff and the doctor that the princess was not to be told about this terrible news because he was going to honor his wife’s wish to protect the princess, but a few weeks later the queen died.

The staff offered to tell Princess Alisa but King Edward told them that she was his daughter and he would tell her. “Alisa, baby” King Edward said “yes, papa?” “I have some bad news.”  “What is it papa why do you look so sad?” Alisa said innocently concerned. “I’m sad because….something happen today.” “What happen papa and where mama? I haven’t seen her since my party when she got sick.” “Princess the news is about mama and her being sick.” King Edward said. “Papa, is mama dead?” Alisa said with tears in her eyes. “Yes baby she is. I’m so sorry.” With tears in her eyes she looked into her papas face and cried “I love you papa,” and gave him a hug he will never forget.

After the queen’s death the king was asked if he would like to revoke the queen’s order in keeping the princess in the tower. He became furious he screamed “NO WE WILL HONOR THE QUEEN’S WISH, IS THAT CLEAR?” “Yes my king of course” stated the servant. Years went by fast for many but went painfully slow for the princess. At ten she was given ten minutes out of the tower in the main hall, but when she turned fifteen the king began to realize that she was getting too curious about the outside world so she was ordered to stay in the tower until further notice.
