Under the Mistletoe

Merry Christmas!  I hope you guys are enjoying the holidays.  I have decided to write this cliche ass story, and I know it's short but I just wanted to get everybody in the mood for Christmas. I didn't put any smut in this because I wanted it to be a romantic, sweet short story for Christmas eve.  :) I hope you enjoy it!!!

"Jungkook,"  Jimin's honey voice brought Jungkook from his mind, the warm body next to him comforting and reassuring.  

"Yeah, baby?"  Jungkook smiled heartily, wrapping his arm around the smaller's waist and pulling the fuzzy blanket further up to keep them cozy.  

"Are you happy?"  Jimin wondered, resting his head in the crook of Jungkook's neck.  

Jungkook leaned over and brushed back Jimin's bangs, kissing his forehead.  "I'm delighted.  Being here with you on Christmas eve, it's everything I ever asked for."  

Jimin giggled softly, pressing gentle kisses all over Jungkook's unmarked neck.  "Remember the day we got together?"

Jungkook chuckled lowly, nuzzling into Jimin's hair and breathing in the scent of candy canes and cookies.  "Of course, I remember, it's our anniversary."  

Two years ago

It was Christmas eve of  2017, and Jimin and Jungkook had gone to a Christmas party together to celebrate the holidays as friends.  They had been dancing around each other for months, it was all blushing and affection.   They spend most of the night drinking wine and dancing to Christmas carols, not knowing that there was a small piece of mistletoe under the doorway to the kitchen.  The moment they walked in together people began to yell, most slightly tipsy or even drunk. 

 Almost everybody they knew had an idea that Jimin and Jungkook were completely infatuated with each other.  It was to their luck that Jimin and Jungkook had walked in together under a piece of mistletoe the owner of the house had set out for lovers.  

Jungkook looked up, immediately flushing at the sight.  The mistletoe hung above them, looking very mistletoe-ish as it awaited lovers.  

Glancing at Jimin and admiring his pink cheeks, Jungkook faced him and smiled awkwardly, rousing a hearty laugh from Jimin.  

Stepping closer to Jungkook and puckering his lips more than necessary, Jimin squeezed his eyes shut cutely and waited for Jungkook to move in.  After adoring Jimin's nervous expression, Jungkook placed his hand on the older's neck and brushing their lips together.  Jungkook will never forget the way Jimin had flinched before becoming putty in Jungkook's hands as the cacophony of people cheered around them.  They had been waiting so long to do this, as soon as they said their goodbyes they went back to Jimin's apartment and made sweet love, giving each other their virginities as an early Christmas gift.  

"Hey, Jiminie?  Are you comfortable, honey?  I hope my hands aren't too cold,"  Jungkook laughed, taking his boyfriend's hands between his own and pressing a kiss to the smooth skin.  

Jimin nodded sleepily, snuggling into Jungkook's side.  Jungkook could feel Jimin's warm breath against his neck, the steady breathing and beating heart lulling Jungkook into sleep.  He could hear the Christmas movie they had put on for background noise, the purple, blue and red lights from the Christmas tree showing rainbow lines in his vision.  He feels Jimin's warm, small body cuddled into his side, the smaller's hands wrapped around his shirt like a small baby.  He can taste the remnants of hot chocolate in his mouth from when he and Jimin were watching the movie.  The scent of the cinnamon-vanilla gingerbread candle Jimin had burned while taking a bath earlier taking up his senses.  

The couch was soft under them as Jungkook wrapped the red blanket around them and cuddled his boyfriend as they both fell into a deep sleep, the relaxing atmosphere around them encouraging a full night's rest together.  And when they wake up, they will finally reveal their presents to one another.  Jimin will reveal the pair of red lingerie to Jungkook, and Jungkook will give Jimin the present they have both been waiting for: an engagement ring.  

I'm sorry this is so short :( but I really did have a great time writing this story, I can't wait till Christmas eve so I can publish it.  I really do hope you enjoyed it, and if you have any advice or suggestions I am open to them :)  Have a Merry Christmas!
