Vincent x Reader
Takes place after Vincent picks no one(Vincent POV)
"Looks like your hot-streak is over Vince" Orlando mumbled taking a swig of his beer.
"What do you mean hot streak?" I asked. Orlando always mentioned this 'hot streak'. I never really understood what he was talking about.
"You know, you had three hot girls. Well one was a guy, but either way here you are alone."
"Oh whatever. I'm happy for your information. Think I'm taking a break right now anyway." I muttered running my hand over my face rubbing small circles on my temple. 'God after everything that has happened I don't think I can even think about being in a relationship.'
Toby laughed. "Sorry Chief, even I cant relate. Me and Erica are going strong." Johnny rolled his eyes.
"Listen kid we could care less what you do with Erica." His hand lowered, putting out his cigarette. "You don't have to mention it every two seconds." He mumbled under his breath. I let out a small chuckle. 'Finally someone said it'. Toby always has to mention how things are going with Erica. Not to be rude, but we could care less. I honestly don't want to hear about that. Since Toby is a bit younger, it's kinda weird. As usual the conversation continued. Although I kinda blocked it out, deciding to indulge myself into my imagination. But even while zoned out I could hear the ringing of the door bell. Although I still didn't pay too much mind to it. I raised my rum and cola to my lips. I heard steps treading lightly passed our table. A woman walked by, her hair soaked along with damp clothes. Setting my drink down I watched as she sat in the booth next to ours. She was turned away so all I saw was her (h/l) (h/c) hair. It wasn't until Toby was waving his hand in front of my face that I noticed I was staring.
"Huh, what did you say?" I asked moving my gaze to focus on Toby.
"I asked if you were okay. You seem pretty out of it." Orlando let out a small cough, smirking.
"Nah, he just saw that girl walk in is all. I thought you said you were going to take a break, but here you are staring at women at the bar." I rolled my eyes at his statement.
"I am taking a break, I just zoned out is all. I wasn't staring." 'Her hair was soaked, it must be raining. I've never seen here before.' I shook my head lightly. 'The last thing I need right now is another Catherine.' After her, women have been scary. But the boss is gone and I haven't had a nightmare since. It's just a scary thought.(Your POV)
I felt sprinkles of water peck my face lightly. Looking up I noticed all the grey clouds. 'How long have I been walking? And since when did it get so dark?' It all felt like a haze. Then I noticed the sprinkles become more heavier. 'Of course it rains when I don't have my fucking umbrella.' I kept walking. The rain at first wasn't annoying, in fact I enjoy the rain. Then it just became too intense. So I quickly ran into the nearest public place. Stepping inside I saw a sign. 'The Stray Sheep huh?'. Stepping further in it became obvious this was a bar. 'Huh, the perfect place for my current mood.'
Lately you've been in a rut. It didn't help that when you confessed to your crush they immediately denied you. And so ruthlessly too. So you went on a walk and ended up here. Running a hand through your tangled wet hair you began to walk to an open booth. It wasn't too packed, so they're was a few open. There was one open next to a group of guys. The other open ones were by nobody. Usually you'd go to a farther one, but you thought hearing their voices would be a distraction from your own thoughts. Speaking of hearing what they said, I heard one man say, "Nah, he just saw that girl walk in is all. I thought you said you were going to take a break, but here you are staring at women at the bar." You couldn't help a small smile to grow on your face. A red headed woman walked up to my table.
"Can I take your order?" She said with a small smile.
"S-sake please." I mumbled. It wasn't because I was rude or anything, I was just a bit shy is all. It sucked when people took it as some type of 'attitude'. She nodded and left before shortly returning with a small cup, and a vase like bottle for the sake. "Thank you."
"No problem, I'll come back when your drink's empty." She walked away, her short red hair flowing behind her. Releasing that heavy sigh you've been holding in, you took a drink from your sake. Right now, being drunk sounded like the best thing. So there you were quietly distracting your mind with alcohol.
By now the table behind you became quiet. 'I'm guessing they all left.' You heard the click of someone's shoes tapping the floor. "You still want to drink?" Turning your head you saw the waitress at the table behind you. There was one man sitting by himself. He wore a pink shirt with the word 'Rave' and a beige coat over it. His hair was black and messy, and from the pink flush on his face, he'd been drinking for a while. He was pretty cute. Then I notice his face reflect shock and then a small smile. And that's when I noticed I had been staring too long. I quickly turned my head back to face forward. 'Shit...'. I went to grab my bottle of sake to realize it was empty. Almost like she read my mind Erica came to my table setting down another bottle of sake and a rum and cola. "A-Ah I didn't order this-"
"Oh sorry that's mine, do you mind if I sit here? We can be lonely together." The man who I was just staring at was standing next to my table. His hand nervously rubbed the back of his neck. Looking up you flash a small smile.Let him sit?
>Yes NoYou gave a small nod. "Sure, why not." When he sat across from you he extended his hand. "I'm Vincent by the way." You look at his hand for a second before grabbing it shaking it lightly. "I'm (Y/N)." He smiled at you. Having small talk you eventually lead to how the both of you ended up at this bar. Releasing a heavy sigh you leaned back in your seat. "I finally built the confidence to ask out some man I liked. He didn't reciprocate them, and had a bit of a harsh way of saying it. So I went walking, and found this bar."
Vincent's face softened. "I'm sorry for you're feeling." When he said that you shook your head lightly. A small smile growing on your face.
"Not even, to be honest you've cheered me up. I'm having fun." You laid your elbows on the table. "Thank you." Vincent swiftly leaned forward and grabbed your face softly placing his lips on yours. It was a drunken but sweet kiss. He pulled away, not even having time for you to kiss back.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry (Y/n). I just...it seemed right to do." His eye sight nervously avoided yours. His elbows were on the table as he hung his head. "Sorry."
You let out shy laugh. "Vincent, it's okay. It was just a kiss. Also we're both pretty fucking wasted. On the plus side, it was nice." You stood up from your seat. Sliding a piece of paper with your number to him. "I have to go, but call me Vince." You winked before turning to the door to leave. You'd definitely be back to the 'Stray Sheep' again.
