Namir was a wild leopard that Melody took from the wild. Melody has a soft spot for leopards and thinks of Namir as one of the few things to protect. She won't hesitate to kill anyone if they as such much as make Namir cry.
When Namir turned 10, she was finally able to change into her human form. This came to a great shock to Melody. Melody still took care of her though and treats her as her pet. She is allowing her into the school though as she wants what best for Namir.
Namir is relies heavily on instincts and doesn't the to think things through. She doesn't understand basic human things and has trouble reading and writing. She's doing her best though.
