"Y/n, you have eye bags. You wouldn't have had those if you weren't under a lot of stress now talk to me. I'm not here to make you feel like shit"

"It's Mingyu... he could be the culprit & the master mind behind everything. You can call me delusional all you want, but I might have proof"

"Y/n..."

"You don't believe me? Just before I left, he pinned me against the wall choking me! Namjoon, you need to listen to me" i show him the bruise he left on my neck. "The rest are just trails of love bites..." i say looking down feeling ashamed & disgusted in myself

"That mother fucker"

"For the sake of my mental health, please don't do anything" I tug on his shirt

"I'll try not to, but I can't make any promises"

For the next couple of minutes we just stood there not saying a thing. I wanted to say something but someone already beat me to it

"Y/n!" Sunmi shouts in excitement "it's been a while since we last saw each other! How have you been?"

"It's nice seeing you here, Sunmi. I've been well and I'm actually seeing someone"

A smile grows on her face "And how's that going?"

"She's not happy so she's thinking of cutting it off" Namjoon interferes

"What is your deal, Namjoon?" I raise an eyebrow

"It's the truth, you know it" Namjoon says before walking away

"Excuse him, he has been acting out for the past couple of months. I have no idea what has gotten into him. It might be because the case has been dropped. It only makes sense since he was passionate about solving the case"

"What are you talking about? They dropped the case?"

"Oh? You didn't hear? Namjoon & Krystal came to the conclusion of dropping it. They were getting no leads & were wasting a lot of materials" hearing those words come out of Sunmi's mouth made me want to me feel angry towards Namjoon for letting go that easily. I sighed, trying to keep my emotions in check

"No," I shake my head "I don't think that's why he's been acting off" I say

"What do you mean? Do you have any clue as to why he has been acting out lately? I am worried for him. There are days he goes without eating or losses on sleep due to over working himself? I tried speaking to him about it but he just won't budge. I'm sure If you speak to him about it, he would open up to you. You're his partner in crime both"
