"Hello? Listen Lance, I know that my rent us overdue but could you please give me another week?" Megan pleaded over the receiver,as she fiddled with her hair.
"NO!" He growled sternly through the phone."You have exactly 24 hours to pack. I'm sorry Megan. Rules are rules. I've already extended your due date by a month, I can't help you anymore."
"But,please just let me,-"
Tears were welling in her big dark brown eyes, and her toned light skin was paler than usual.
"24 hours." Lance sighed, and the line died.
Megan placed her phone on the floor, her body motionless. She sobbed,remembering how extremely terrible this year had turned out to be for her.
Not only did she turn 21,( which is supposed to be an incredible day), but her mother died on her birthday, in a murder scene, which still hasn't been solved yet.
To make things worse, it's not like she knew who her father was. She tried buying her mother's home, but she couldn't afford it.
After High School, Megan got a call from a modeling agency saying they would pay her big bucks for being their model, if she paid $100,000.
Well she did, but little did Megan know, the whole thing was a scam. She mailed her money to the address, and never heard from the "modeling agency"again.
Megan's dream was always to become a model, ever since she was a little girl. Her mother always told her how beautiful she was.
The horrid thing about is was that at the time she was making an extremely difficult decision. That was all the money she had been saving for college.
There's no college future for her, and she's losing the only home she has.
Where will she go?
Now here she was, lonely again back at square one.
