Maddie had been so excited when Abby had told her she would be castes in Dance Moms. She remembered how she cried and jumped up and down so happy, that was how her career was going to start and she new it. However, she had never imagined how bad the pressure would be and the amount of stress put upon her to nail her dance routine and come 1st.
On week days Maddie would get home from school and do dance from 4:00 - 8:30 and on weekends 8:00am - 8:00pm unless it was a competition in which case she would have to get to ALDC at 7:00.
It was Friday, Maddie had had the worst day at school, her best friend Haley had been mean to her all day mocking her about the way she danced and how Maddie made stupid faces when she danced. The whole class had found it funny apart from Maddie who sat and cried in the girls bathroom all of lunch.
"Maddie, hurry up we need to leave!" Melissa shouted up the stairs. She sighed all she wanted to do was be by herself away from everyone, but she knew if she danced she could be in a whole world of her own not caring about anything. Well, she could until she realized everyone thought she looked like an idiot. She slowly got ready and they drove to ALDC. She got out and slammed the car door.
"Maddie, what's up?" Melissa asked "I'm not letting you go in there until you tell me, I can't look bad infront of Abby, now tell me" she said firmly
"Nothing mom, I promise" maddie smiled and walked towards the entrance her face turning to a frown. They were the first ones there, she quickly put her tap shoes on and warmed up stretching her muscles out.
