I woke up every hour or so, feeling weak and going back to bed minutes after. I can't speak up, but I can hear conversations downstairs and I can hear everything but I can't move much. I feel paralyzed on my bed, the sun would burn my eyes so I would keep them closed, which would lead to falling back to sleep. What seemed like 10 years in bed is only 10 hours since the grill accident. I would wake up just to black out the next couple minutes. Inside I knew it my grogginess has something to do with my asthma.
"You invited her in?" I heard someone say from downstairs before I can try to get up or match the person's voice, I passed out on my bed again.
I tossed and turned getting this uncomfortable feeling that I'm being watched. I can feel eyes burning on the side of my cheek, then I realized I wasn't alone. I peel my eyes open slowly and see a lady standing beside my bed looking down on me. She smiled softly, "You are as beautiful as your mother was." Her soft voice gave out a strange feeling to her, she seems caring but all I can see in her is cynical. My eyes widen a bit looking around, she's the only one in the room with me. She notices the alarmed look on my face and tries to calm me down. "It's okay, you're gonna be fine Kory." She smiles.
"What are- who are you?" My voice cracks a bit.
"Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, my names Isobel."
My eyes widen, "You're...you're the lady that Jenna and Alaric are fighting about?" I stutter.
She smiles cynically at me, ah ding ding ding, I knew something was wrong about her. "I am..." Making her way from the corner of my room, I watch her heels connect lightly on the wooden flooring until she's finally right beside my bed, "I'm gonna need to borrow you for a little."
My eyes widen trying to pull myself a little further from her. I can't cry out for help before she puts her hand over my mouth and everything goes black.
I pinch my eyes tight trying to stop the pain that's shooting thought. I had the strangest dream last night. I tried to stretch my arms out, but they're restrained together, that's when the warning signs popped into my head. Well, that wasn't a dream then. The dark tinted windows still gives me a chance to look outside, I can see the clouds in the sky which means the sun's still up.
The cloth in my mouth blocks me from yelling or even talking, I pull myself up slowly into an awkward position. I prop my head by the window trying to get a better view and I'm able to make out the Lockwood mansion or parked beside it. I know it's the mansion, I remember it very vaguely but the familiarity reminds me of being here when I was younger. There are tons of cars surrounding me, people are walking in or out of the house. Many stand around the front entrance making conversation with people arriving. I seem to be in the back of a black SUV when I noticed the reflection on a car parked beside us. My eyes tear up from gagging up a bit once the cloth in my mouth hit the back of my throat. I catch sight of Stefan and Elena walking by the car and towards the Lockwood mansion. I scream and cry out banging my head against the window, Stefan seems to hear me when he turns around, his eyes locking with mine. He looks confused, just looking straight at me but continues to walk. I choke up in my sobs resting my head against the window. I immediately regret banging my head against the window, I'm growing such a huge migraine.
"You know what's great about these windows? You can hear and see them, but they can't hear or see you." I voice speaks up. I push myself further away from the voice, slow tears staining my cheeks.
"Oh don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you so stop your whining or I will."
My eyes widen, trying to get myself close to calming down. "I'm gonna take the cloth off if you scream I will not hesitate to kill you." Her voice was a mixture of cynical and soothing, how can those two even mix? I watch her with anticipation while she slowly reaches out for the cloth and pulls it down so it rests on my neck.
