Now you people who don't like cats probably disagree with me, but don't you run away just yet, I have a bunch of reasons which just has a good chance you will change your mind about them.
Reason 1: They are playful! their are a lot of people who think that all a cat does is sit around all day and they don't do anything special, but that is not true, most cats love to play! just they just sometimes need a good rest now and then, you know grooming is a lot of work getting every single spot on their body (including the d*ck) I mean if you have a cat a home right now why you just grab a plastic bag or a feather and use sting to tie it to a stick now make the feather act like a mouse by moving it forward not to close to the cat but minimum 1 foot away from him/or her then the cat with jump and catch it pet the cat and tell him to let go, then do the same not to close to him/or her, start dragging it side to side now throw it up in the air just in the cats reach now he/or she will jump for it, when they have caught it about 3 times reward them with a treat.
Reason 2: Their easy to take care of. Are you looking for a pet that is easy to take care of? well your in luck cause a cat is probably the right kind of animal for you. Literally all you have to do is feed them clean their litter box and clean maybe a couple hairballs or poops that slipped here and there. A cat is not dirty like a dog ( sorry for that dog owners) they groom themselves daily, cats love looking their best 24/7 and that what they have grown to do. Also you can leave them alone for 9 hours cause they are not whining at the door and climbing all over the furniture and destroying your kitchen they can entertain themselves (unlike dogs).
Reason 3: Their smart. Most breeds of cats are really smart, and you can train a cat, it is possible, but either your cat is just not interested or he is just ignoring you, either way it can be done with a lot of effort. Their are certain breeds of cats that are very smart like the Siamese cat or the Scottish Fold cat. Also when a you get a cat all you have to do is show it the litter box and then you do not have to train it to use it, the cat will then know what it is for an then you will not see poops all over the floor.
I hope you now know to trash your first pet (unless it's a different cat) and swap it out with a cat. Just kidding you don't have to but I strongly thing that you should give it a try (at least).
