It was the crack of dawn when you had awaken. Waking up this early hasn't been your thing. Especially since you had training with Giyu In preparation for your task of killing one of the Twelve Demon Moons. You change into uniform and slip on a kaori on top.
Heading outside, you weren't surprised to see Giyu already waiting. He was leaning on the wooden frame of your house, head upraised, arms crossed tightly, eyes closed, and his lips slightly parted. His attention suddenly gazes upon you.
"Good Morning, Giyu," you smile slightly. Giyu looks at you for a moment and then lets out a breath response. He wasn't much of a talker anyways.
You follow him to the yard where you two had been training at for the past few months.
"I'm sure your reflex skills have developed and improved severely. But I'm going to train you on your reflexes,"
He meets your eyes, and you can't help but admire his deep ocean irises.
"There's always room for improvement," you reply back.
He seems to agree. The both of you stand across from each other, in the casual armed stance. You focus on him, calculating his moves before he even twitched a muscle. He comes in from the side but you jump in response, not letting him touch you. He moved fast but you knew better of not letting that distract you. You were getting the hang of it, until he suddenly jumped and was above you. You quickly move aside, but a rock was in place and had tripped you over. Your back lands on a big rock and you grit your teeth at the pain. 'Damn rocks' you thought to yourself. Giyu lands on top of you, arms resting on the ground near each side of your head. He stares into your eyes and doesn't move for a while.
"Giyu...?" You mumbled.
you were confused. After a few moments, he snaps out of it.
"Focus," he finally says.
He gets up, offering a hand to you. You take it immediately but the sharp pain hits you as you try to sit up. You scream at the pain.
Giyu's eyes widened.
"I told you to focus!" Giyu said it in a stern tone.
You look away in embarrassment. Just when you were about to stand up, he carries you in his arms.
You look up at him, just to see his slightly furrowed eyebrows and his downwards lips.
'How embarrassing..' you thought to yourself. He carries you to his room and places you down onto his bed.
"Let me see your wound," Giyu said.
"But I'll-"
He cuts you off.
"Y/n, would you value what I see over your own health?" He asks.
You can't meet his eyes. You slowly undress the top part of my uniform to expose your back. Your face is burning up at this point. His fingers touch your back, examining the wound. You wince a little when he touches the most painful part.
"Does that hurt?" He asks.
You nod. He gently rubs some herbal balm on your back and wraps it up with a bandage. His fingers slightly touches past your collarbone when he wraps it around. You shiver at the feeling.
"What caused you to get distracted? I thought you were well into the Training." Giyu asked something that you couldn't tell him straight to his face.
"It's just that..." You start to talk, but find yourself mumbling. You can't say it.
"How do I put this.."
You cover your face In embarrassment. He looks at you, waiting for your response.
"your eyes are truly captivating."
You said it. Oh my god you said it.
Giyu was taken aback by this. His eyes widen, revealing his Blue eyes. And once again, you find yourself looking right at them. Gah! There it is again. You can't ever get used to them.
Giyu laughs softly. He puts your top uniform back on, briefly staring at your bandaged chest, only to look away with a blush.
"You should Rest here. At least for tonight. I doubt you'd be able to walk in that state."
Giyu shuts the door and sleeps in the spare room.
How could I have not noticed his eyes before?
You blush in embarrassment. You can't stop thinking about him.
Giyu can't stop thinking about you, either.
