People could say I'm avoiding, but personally, I can say I'm just keeping a safe distance. After the whole incident, Stefan decided to clarify a few major things for me once they realized after a couple hours that they couldn't compel me. I first had to learn what compel meant, and just hearing him explain the one sentence made me believe I was still dreaming.

My cousin is a doppelgänger, the other cousin has a ring that protects him from any death that is supernatural. Stefan and a few others are bloodsuckers, or as they may call it vampires. There's a vampire called an original, there's said to be 5 of them actually so technically a family. Elijah, one of them. I always knew something was up with the guy but never in a million years would have guessed vampire. He showed up later on and spoke to me about his siblings and the one causing the trouble, who's name is Klaus. Klaus is trying to find Elena and use her as a human sacrifice. When he told me this, I burst into a fit of laughter. It took me a couple seconds to compose myself but he held a serious look. It took me awhile after to realize everything being fed to me wasn't a joke.

"You're kidding right that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." I stare at Stefan, my smile is wiped off my face and I know hold a serious look.

"I'm a Vampire Kory, so is my brother, so is Caroline." I shake my head in complete denial at the thought of anyone of them being a vampire.

"Vampires are fictional creatures made up in most horror or romance novels. I mean how? You guys can walk in the sun, aren't you supposed to like burn up and burst into flames. Maybe even twinkle and sparkle like Edward Cullen. I just- it doesn't make any sense!"

He sighs pacing back in forth in my room. I'm a bit afraid in some ways if what he's saying is actually true. I mean I saw someone burst into flames...right after she yanked her necklace off her neck. I scrunch up my nose in confusion trying to make some sense of it. "In your freezer there's ice cream...am I correct?" He asks.

I'm fazed out about it but slowly loosening up my scrunched up nose, I bob my head slowly, "What does this have to do with-" I felt the rush of wind slap my face, and once I look up there stands Stefan with a tub of vanilla ice cream. "How did you...but...oh my God." I breath out, I stumble out of bed and tread towards the corner of the room backing away slowly from him.

"I think you should go."

Stefan looks at me, I can see the hurt in his eyes. "Kory I'm not gonna hurt you."

"You should go Stefan." He slowly places the tub of ice cream on the desk by the window and is gone within a couple seconds. I stand there bewildered, staring at the tub of ice cream for the rest of the night. Watching it melt until I had to finally throw it away before it would leak all over the floor.

Stefan told me that they're planning on doing something the night of the dance. Not the type of planning where they talk about the group going to the dance but planning to trap said Klaus. Now if anyone still has any sanity left after getting fed all that information, I think they'd be doing what I'm doing currently.

I leave the house couple minutes earlier so I wouldn't need to run into anyone. I even wake up an hour earlier to eat breakfast. I pretend to be fast asleep whenever someone comes knocking on my door. If I have no other option, I walk down the hall with my head down trying not to make any eye contact with anyone.

I missed class a couple days when I convinced Jenna that I had a fever. Now I have to go to my classes to pick up all the missing work. I went over to Alaric's classroom for the last pile of homework. "Hey, Ric." I cheer walking through the room. He's the only sane one of them all, him and Matt.
