We got out of the hotel and went towards a famous restaurant. I noticed his eyes staring at me every now, making me blush. I bit my cheek from the inside to hide my reaction. I didn't want him to notice my red cheeks. We entered the restaurant and sat down on a table by the window. While Jin was looking at the menu, my eyes were examining the luxurious place. Many elite class people were seen chatting with each other about business and political matters. I suddenly spot a familiar face and when I recognized it my eyes went wide. It can't be...Namjoon? And is- is that Tori? OMG! I quickly got up earning Jin's attention. "Where are you going? I still have to order the food. I need your approval." He stared at me in confusion. "I have spotted two friends of mine here. Can I go meet them?" I was waiting for his approval impatiently. "Uh- ok but first tell me what will you eat?" "Just order what you want I have absolutely no problem. I'll have anything you'll order for yourself." He just nodded and I quickly rushed towards their table.
I stood infront of their table and when they noticed me they both went speechless. "OMG! SERENA! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Tori gave me a tight hug. "Damn Serena, you completely disappeared after you've been married. We weren't able to attend your wedding since we were out of the country." Namjoon said while hugging me. "No problem! I'm so glad I met you guys!" I was tearing up seeing them together like this. They both finally got engaged as I could see the engagement rings on their fingers. "Congrats on your engagement guys! When did this happen?" They both started blushing. Awww that was so cute. "He just proposed me a few days ago here in Chicago. We came here to study together and he ended up proposing me." Her cheeks were turning red. "That's so sweet guys! I wish you a happy life ahead. Best wishes!" I hugged them. "Are you done meeting your friends?" I heard Jin's voice from behind. "Oh! Guys meet my husband Seokjin. Darling, these are my college friends. Namjoon and his fiancé Tori." He shook hands with both of them although he seemed a bit upset about something. "Nice to meet you sir. You are the mayor's son right?" Jin nodded in approval. "Well darling, the food is running cold. Let's get back to the table." He emphasized on the word 'darling' sarcastically. I just nodded and waved them goodbye. "Hey don't forget to attend our wedding I'll text you the venue and date." Namjoon said as we left to go to our table. We were eating silently. "Please don't ever call me darling again." I heard his stern voice. I looked at him with confusion. "I'm sorry but I was just saying it because I wanted to give them an impression of us being the perfect couple." He just gave me a 'hmm' and continued eating. Oh God! He's so cocky. I am the only one who cares for his reputation. Trying to portray ourselves as the most romantic couple. Even if he pushes me away I'm always there for him. But why does he not feel my love? Why does he hurt me like this? Was that girl better than me? Why did he even agreed to marry me when he already had someone else in his heart? My heart was breaking. I was at the verge of crying but I stopped myself. I can't cry infront of him. I won't give up until I make him mine.
Seokjin's P.O.V: (at the hotel)
She doesnt deserve me at all. I wish I never agreed to marry her. I've ruined her life. I can't forgive myself now. She deserves a man who truly loves her. I can't make her happy. I can't give myself to her. I wish I could love her the way she does. She is trying hard to win my heart and she might win it a little bit but it doesn't have much space for her. Give her a chance. Wait what? I heard my inner voice calling out to me. She's your salvation now. You need her. She'll make you happy. What if I don't want to love her? You simply can't resist her charms. Byul was your past, she's your present and hopefully your future. Don't turn your back on her. Treat her well. The voice vanished. Maybe it's right. I should give her a chance. She's always been nice to me despite my rude behaviour. I should apologise for my cocky behviour first. I got up from the bed and walked towards her. She was combing her beautiful brown hair. "Hey, I uh-" Her brown eyes shifted towards me. "Um.. I'm sorry I got a bit carried away. I shouldn't have scolded you like that." She smiled making my heart beat fast. "It's ok. Besides you're right, I shouldn't call you darling since we dont have any connection between us." She was still smiling making me feel even more guilty. "No it's ok I mean you can call me that in public." Her eyes widened in surprise and then her smile returned. "Sure. Anything else?" I looked at her mischievious gaze which made me nervous. "N-no. You carry on." I quickly walked towards the bed and laid down. OMG! What is happening to me? Why is my heart racing so fast? Is it because I'm finally having those feelings again? Did she really succeed? Finally slumber took over me ending my chain of thoughts.
Third person's P.O.V:
Her fingers ran through his hair. His light snores making her giggle. His handsome features making him look ethereal in the dimly lit room. His lips were slightly parted. Her desire to touch them was overwhelming. She wanted to make them hers and take him over but she wanted to wait. Wait for him to approach first. She didn't want to force herself on him. She lightly caressed his cheek and switched back to her position. She was happy that her baby steps were working. A victorious smile plastered on her face and then she fell asleep.
