STILES POV
*sigh* "brand new year, yay" I say sarcastically.

"Come on bud, new year equals new friends" Scott says putting his arm around me.

"Yeah, the last time you made a friend went perfect, it's just that he's a werewolf now" I say remembering Liam, a freshmen who Scott bit.

"See look at that group of friends they look decent" Scott said pointing to a group of friends sitting at a table, 4 girls and 2 boys.

"They look goth" literally they wore all black, weird rings and pendants. the guy in the middle wore black jeans, boots, a leather jacket and five rings on one finger and three pendants.

"They smell weird" Scott said scrunching his nose.

"What we looking at?" Me and Scott jump when we heard Kira's voice.

"We're looking at that kid" I said settling back down.

"Oh Jonathan?" She asks "he's a math genius, and half the freshman here want to get in his pants" she's not wrong he is a little attractive, his short raven hair out up in a mohawk, the black leather pants."stiles, are you ok?" Lydia snaps me out, when did she get here.

"Huh, yeah I'm o- Oof" someone just bumped into me.

"Watch where your going!" A girl with the reddest lips ever said to me.then she looked at me "wolves" she snarled at me.

"Excuse me, how do you know what I am?" I asked backing up.

"I can smell it on you" she said showing her vampire teeth. "I hate wolves" and she left glaring at us.

"What was that about?" Scott asked helping me pick up my books.

"LET ME GO!!" We hear a freshmen yell from across the lot.

"What's the matter we're just playing a game" a few sophomores say.

"Those are mine" the freshmen yelled trying to get free "I need my journal"

"Should we help?" Lydia asked looking at Scott, who was already heading over there.

"Let him go" he said intimidating "or else"

"Awww, you need someone to protect you, take your book" the sophomore said throwing it in the garbage "lets go" he told his accomplices. The new kid started digging through the garbage for his notebook.

"Are you ok?" Kira asked helping him

"Yeah, thanks" he said pulling his book out

"What's your name by the way?" I asked helping him up.

"Lucas, Lucas caster" he said taking my hand.

"He smells funny" Scott said backing up.

"Well you don't smell good either, wolf" Lucas said getting looks from us. "shit, well thanks for your help. Bye" and he ran making us run after him.

"GET BACK HERE!" I yelled chasing him.

"Not going to happen" he turned the corner, and there was a flash and when I caught up he was gone. Scott caught up to me.

"Where did he go?" He asked confused.

"I don't know he just vanished" I said more confused than him. we walk back to Lydia and Kira.

"What happened?" Kira asked.

"I don't know, he got away" I said irritated. "I have to get to class, bye" I walk to class mad, I don't know why but I am. The day went bye terribly slow, by the end of the last period I ran out to my jeep.
