"And what, may I ask, are you doing?"
The Emperor of the Draconian-Itonian continent was not a patient fellow, his slender hand tap-tapping against his throne as his guest smiled up at him.
Yuri Ekaterina de Vlad was his youngest child—his youngest daughter, and the favored one of his 'litter', who took after her mother in appearance by a stroke of luck. It was said to be a stroke of luck; the Emperor's infatuation for his late wife was well-known throughout the land, and Princess Yuri's features were that of amplified, perfected beauty.
As she stood there, in her black dress with the golden embroidery, her father couldn't help but see the mother in the daughter—no one could blame him; the princess was no longer a child, she was an adult with a sensual aura that had been inherited from him alongside a curvy, hourglass figure—and she had her mother's loving personality.
But the child he saw now was holding a sword, pointing it at his chin as she marched up the staircase. She was no longer the eager to please, sweet seven year old he had loved to coddle and spoil.
