"How are you feeling honey?" My teahcer's soft words and warm embrace had made me stop shaking and I was feeling better by now. We had been sitting in silence like this ever since Joshua had left. "Better, thanks Ms H.... Adrienne." I actually managed to give her a smile but I felt so exhausted from crying. Things like these always happened to someone else, they weren't supposed to happen to me. You read about things like these in magazines, you don't live them. Yet here I was and I felt dirtier than ever.

"Adrienne, can you stay with me tonight?" I was lying on my bed, Adrienne had tucked me in after asking two more times if I was okay. I wasn't okay but I didn't feel horrible either. It was all so unreal at this point, I didn't know what to feel. She stood by the door as if she was getting ready to leave. I knew a lot of Dennis' and Mary's friends were spending the night here so they wouldn't have to drive home after drinking. Therefore it wouldn't be so weird if Adrienne showed up in the kitchen for breakfast next morning.

I saw hesitation in Adrienne's eyes, we both knew it wasn't the wisest thing for her to do. Yet she came over. She removed her dress and laid down beside me, putting her arm around my waist and leaning her nose against the back of my neck. I felt so secure at that moment, I wanted to tell her so much. How beautiful I found her and how ever since I had met her felt so drawn to her in a, for me, unknown way. "Are you awake?" I whispered so I wouldn't wake her in case she had already fallen asleep. "Yeah..." I heard her mumble from behind me. "I..... thanks" Her grip around my waist tightened a little bit. "You're welcome." she whispered back.

All the things I wanted to tell her kept spinning in my head, but it was too soon to tell her. Hell I had only known this woman for about a week and had already fallen head over heels for her. I didn't know that much about her, but was this really the right time for getting to know her? She seemed to have grown fond of me but surely that was only as my teacher, right?

The next morning as I woke up I was alone in my room, still unsure of what had happened the night before I stumbled out of bed and put on an oversized t-shirt and a pair of pyjama shorts. Walking over to the kitchen I tried to wrap my mind around if last night had been a dream or not. Had I really fallen asleep next to my teacher? Had that guy really tried to assault me? My head was spinning and I had to sit down as soon as I entered the kitchen. It was first when I looked around that I realized it wasn't only Dennis, Mary and me in the room.

Sitting across from me was Joanna, the very talk active woman from the night before. Next to her was one of Mary's co-workers, a tiny blonde woman who's name I never really got. Both of them gave me a sympathetic smile. "Rough night?" Joanna asked and poured herself another cup of coffee. You have no idea, I thought to myself but just nodded to her question. I hadn't really paid much attention to the two women before but now as they both tried to get me into their conversation I took my time to look at them.

Joanna was probably around 25-27 years old, with her blonde long hair and green-brown eyes she looked really cute. Her lips were filly and I had noticed before that she had a more athletic built body. The tiny blonde woman on the other hand was probably in her late 40's. Mary later told me she was the mother of 4 and didn't get out of the house that much. That explained why I had thought she looked so exhausted all the time.

As my head started to get clearer I started to get a clearer image of what had happened the previous night. "Where's the rest of the guests?" I asked instead of just asking where Adrienne was, I'd rather not have anyone find out about my....crush on her. "Some left last night, I think Adrienne was the only one who spent the night here and left this morning." Dennis gave me a small smile and then took a bite of his sandwich.  "Oh okay. Did she leave early? I didn't hear any noises or so." I have to admit I was a bit disappointed that Adrienne had left without saying goodbye, but then again it was probably for the best. Dennis nodded as he chewed and then turned around to grab his cup that was on the counter behind him. "She said she was coming back later today though" Mary had just re entered the room. "She said she wanted to talk about something. But I think she's just a bit lonely now that Fred is out of town."  Before I got to ask who Fred was Mary had left the room again and Dennis was by this time in a very engaging conversation with the two women sitting across from me.

Adrienne had a boyfriend? Maybe a husband? I should have known. How could I be so stupid to think I ver would have a chance with someone like her?
