Random title I know but I honestly couldn't care less at the moment. Got random inspiration and just decided to just post it. You should expect more. Enjoy~
Also please listen to the songs. At least the last one. I love all three of these songs and that is really the reason why I made this one shot. So again enjoy!

I was taking a nice relaxing walk in the park. I had already seen many street performers but the one sitting at the edge of the fontain looked interesting.
She was at most 20 looks to be in college at the moment.
It also looked like she had been out there for awhile having a pink tinted nose along with the pinked tips of her fingers.
She was carrying a sturdy wooden, classic guitar.
While she sang some country song, I spotted a small bench in the shade.
It was a little chilly today but nevertheless the bench was in the perfect place.
I could see her performing and none of the crowd was standing in the way of the view.
So I sat down as she finished the song.
I sat there for a bit and just waited.
As I watched the young woman prepare her guitar for the next song I saw a small about 6 year old boy ran up to her. It must have caught her by surprise before she bent down to his level. He quickly but efficiently came up to her ear and whispered something. This only seemed to surprise the woman more, before her shocked look turned to a soft smile.
She said in a quiet voice after standing back up to look at the kid.

"Of course, sweetie"

The kid promptly smiled and ran back off into the crowd.
The smile was still on her face as she prepared her guitar a second time.
I looked back to the crowd to see the boy dragging a what looked to be a 14-15 year old girl behind him. I assume they were siblings. She didn't look very comfortable though. She must not like large crowds. But she still came when her little bro asked her to. That's sweet.
I looked back towards the woman. Her hands were now on the microphone placed beside her.

"Now. I hope y'all enjoy this one because it is one of my favorites!"

She backed away and looked back to her guitar, positioned her fingers and strummed the first note.
That's when she started singing.

American girls, and American guys
We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recognize
When we see Old Glory flying
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our head~

My daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye but he flew a flag out in our yard
Until the day that he died
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free

Now this nation that I love has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flyin' in from somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the Fourth of July

Hey Uncle Sam, put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly man, it's gonna be hell
When you hear mother freedom start ringin' her bell
And it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you~

As the small guitar 'solo' went on I turned my attention back to the boy and girl from earlier.
And the biggest smiles could be seen on both of their faces. There was no fear left on the girls face as she tapped her foot to the beat and lipped the words.
The little boy could do nothing but look from the woman to her sister with unbridled joy shining from his smile.
It made me smile a bit too.
It was quickly replaced with a frown when a small memory bubbles to the surface of my mind but, I pushed it back down as I turned my attention back to the woman.
