Jacob didn't hear from Troye that night and he wasn't sure what to expect the next day at school. Troye was coming back and he was sure things would be interesting.
Once Jacob arrived to school, he went straight to his locker. He was rummaging through his stuff when Hari appeared. "Hey Jakey, is your boy back today?"
"Hi Har, how are you? And I don't know. We had a fight yesterday."
"Aw, shit. That sucks," Hari replied. She was about to ask what happened when Ryan showed up and asked for her. "Dude, Jacob, what happened last night?" Ryan laughed.
Jacob cocked his head to the side, "Nothing funny."
"I mean, ya sorry, I heard you and Troye got into it. But, then Troye was saying he pissed off your dad too and that your dad spoke to him like no one has ever spoken to him before," Ryan giggled.
"Ok, so he's a spoiled brat and his parents never corrected him, I guess."
"No, I don't think he meant it like that," Ryan laughed louder, "like father like son or something."
"What are you going on about, Ryan?" Jacob asked closing his locker.
"Troye said he'd love to call your dad, Daddy, after the way your dad spoke to him."
"Wait what?" Jacob and Hari said in unison.
"You know what, nevermind," Jacob quickly added slamming his locker shut and storming down the hallway.
It didn't take long for Hari to recognize where Jacob was going, "Shit. Follow me," she said to Ryan. Ryan and Hari hurried after Jacob.
Jacob didn't stop until he was a few feet from Troye's locker, he would have gotten closer, but the smaller boy was standing against his locker, with his crutches, surrounded by a group of kids wanting to talk to him. Of course everyone needed to kiss up to Troye and hear about his brush with death. Troye seemed to be relishing in the attention and Jacob couldn't handle it anymore.
Taking a few steps closer Jacob said, "Troye, I need to talk to you, now."
Troye rolled his eyes which pissed Jacob off even more. "Can't you see I'm busy, Jacob?"
"What, busy telling everyone what you said about my dad?"
Troye immediately looked at Jacob in surprise and then noticed Ryan. He let out a small groan when he realized his friend must have ratted him out, and yet he said, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh really?" Jacob asked not amused.
Troye smirked and nodded, "Really."
Trevor looked at Troye, "Oh! Was that Jacob's dad you were talking about. I get it now."
Troye snapped his head to look at Trevor. 'Shut the fuck up,' Troye mouthed.
Eric, who was watching everything unfold next to Troye said, "Troye, what did you say about Jacob's dad?"
Jacob crossed his arms and glared at Troye.
"It was a fucking joke!" Troye nearly yelled.
"What did you say?" Eric repeated sounding disappointed.
Troye scoffed, "I was just telling Trevor and Ryan how he was speaking to me. It was like so direct, and strong, and dominating..."
"And?" Eric asked. Jacob felt his blood b0il.
Troye laughed a bit and said, "I said that I'd ride him and call him daddy if he'd talk to me like that again, that's it, no big deal. It. Was. A. Joke."
