Chapter Forty four

Y/n's Point Of View

It had been a few days since Rick had returned Daryl, Abraham, Sasha, Glenn, Nicholas, and Enid where still missing. And I had to be honest I could care less that Enid was gone at least she was away from Carl, I was sitting on a guard tower looking at all the walkers that where surrounding the walls. Some of them where desperately trying to get me that walls where getting weaker and weaker, I looked over and saw Spencer on the other guard post he was trying to get to the broken tower that the truck had crashed into it. My eyes widened as he threw some type of grappling hook I climbed down the post and ran over to the other post, I quickly climbed up "Spencer what are you doing?!" I shouted at him he looked back at me "I'm not gonna die in here!" He shouted.

By now more people had gathered even Deanna was there Rick was yelling it him to get back Walkers where under him trying to get his legs, I ran over to the gate "Eugene! Close this behind me" I shouted he looked at me and nodded. He opend the gate and I pulled out my katana from it's casing and I started cutting the heads off the walkers, some of them where coming in my direction I heard gunshots go off and I continued cutting the heads off. Soon I was pulled back behind the gates I looked at who pulled me back it was Carl I stood up my hands where covered in Walker blood, I stood up still holding my katana "Y/n Tara what the hell where you two thinking, you both have almost died from these people!" He shouted I looked over at Tara who held up her middle finger.

I glared at him "I was thinking about protecting the people of this community, that's what I was thinking!" I yelled at him, my blood was boiling at this point I walked away heading back to my post.

A few hours later

I was talking with Tara and Rick walked up to us "Hey you two I'm sorry about before" he said Tara shrugged "He was stupid that we know" she said look at him, I nodded in agreement "Rick!" Someone shouted we looked over in the direction of where some people where working on the wall to keep it up. My eyes widened when I noticed the tower slowly falling soon the tower came down crushing the walls, millions upon millions of walkers started slowly trudging in everyone ran I pulled out my katana and started running towards Rick's house knowing that Carl was there watching Judith. Rick was behind me the two of us hurrying to the house I heard our people screaming in terror as the walkers crowded in, soon me and Rick had made it to his house apparently some walkers had already made it there the door was Open and walkers started trudging towards us.

Narrator's Point Of View

The walkers slowly trudged into Alexandria people where screaming in terror as some other where torn apart, Rick and Y/n heard a gunshot go off they turned around to see Carl shooting walkers from Jessie's porch "Come on!" He shouted at them. They ran to Jessie's house Y/n cut the heads off walkers and cut them in half Rick was shooting them, soon they made it to Jessie's and the closed the door barricading it with the couch "Carl, Y/n, and Ron go barricad the garage door quickly and quietly" Jessie said Rick was already upstairs with Judith and Deanna.

The leader of the community had been bit Rick was crouched next to her "Rick I when I'm gone I want you to take over leadership here, I've seen how your group looks up to you and I know you'll make this a better community through time" she wheezed, the three teenagers where barricading the garage door Y/n heard a click and turned around. Ron had a gun in his hands and was aiming it at Carl "Y/n come here I don't want to have to hurt you as well" Ron said looking at the beautiful girl, her e/c eyes where wide with fear Carl looked over at her expecting her to leave. She didn't move she finally gained the courage and charged at Ron she tried to disarm him but he threw her against a shelf, she felt pain surging throughout her body Ron had pushed Carl against the door walkers had broken the glass and where reaching for Carl.

Y/n got up and grabbed Ron throwing him to the ground soon the door was broken open by Rick Y/n looked up at him and he quickly told them to get inside, the door was close to being opend by the walkers everyone quickly got in just in time. The walkers had pushed the barricade down everyone killed one and Rick told everyone to drag them in, Rick quickly barricaded the door and everyone made their way upstairs with dead walkers apparently Gabriel and Michonne where up there watching Judith and Deanna.

Everyone was panicked walkers where everyone and dead bodies from the community became walkers, maybe this small community was doomed maybe they'd never survive here.

Y/n's Point Of View

We had sheets on covered in Walker guts Deanna wanted to stay behind since she was bit it was hard but we had to, Carl had Judith under his sheet so she was hidden I was in between Ron and Jessie. Ron had a tight grip on my hand while Jessie didn't her youngest son Sam started crying I looked behind me and then I heard a ear piercing scream, I noticed the Sam was already being torn apart by walkers and Jessie had just been bit she still had a tight grip on my hand and I could pull away. Rick came over and chopped her hand off my eyes where wide with grief and fear Carl quickly gave Gabriel Judith so he could take her to the safety of the church, I heard a click from behind me and I didn't even notice that Rom had let go of my hmad.

I turned around and he had a gun aimed Straight at Rick or Carl I couldn't tell which one "This is your fault" he hissed, before he could pull the trigger a blade went through his body but a gunshot still rang out. I hoped it missed but then I heard a voice behind me "Y-Y/n D-dad?" I turned around and my eyes filled with tears,

Carl was shot.
