I awoke in the middle of the night, the moon shining brightly in the sky, the stars glittering around it. It looked beautiful. I stargazed for a while, still pretending to be asleep, until I lifted myself off the ground and quietly walked over to Kenny. He noticed me and gave me a warm smile. Actually, for once, Kenny looked.... Happy..
"The stars sure look beautiful don't they.." Kenny began. "Katjaa would've loved this.." He spoke, putting his head down. "Kenny.." I spoke sympathetically, not sure what to say. "I.. I miss her Clem. I.. Want her back.. No.. I NEED her back." Kenny said, his voice cracking. I hugged him and told him that everything was going to be alright, and that he might see them again someday. "Thanks, Clem. I'm glad I found you at the lodge again." Kenny whispered. I yawned quietly, my eyelids starting to droop. I walked back over to the group, and someone had lit another fire. "Hey Luke." I said with a bright smile. He jumped at the sight of me and let out a little shriek, not waking anyone up, thankfully. I sat next to Luke on the log he was sitting on and tried to get warm. It failed. My body started shivering. "Here Clem." Luke muttered, handing me a blanket and wrapping it around me. "Thanks." I smiled.
