Chapter 12: The General has a good taste in women

(y'all I swear I'm not dead, I've just been extremely busy and I've been fighting a lot of bad anxiety. I'm doing my best to try and stay active but- idk we'll see I guess)

Great, so now I had to deliver a letter straight to the Angel leader after I had just kidnapped one of the most well known and respected Angels

What could possibly go wrong?

I looked at the portals present and decided to take the one to New York, since on my last trip there I had managed to find my way into Angel territory

Shouldn't be too hard to do it again

I flew through the portal, clutching the generals letter close to my chest to make sure I didn't accidentally drop it cause well, if I failed this within the first minute of departing, I'd be dead

Once in New York I found the direction I had flown to get away from Alex and just started flying

It was much lighter outside now, so I had to be careful to stay in alleys and such until I got out of the city and into no mans land

After awhile of flying, I came to a familiar field of flowers and changed my trajectory to aim straight up into the clouds that represented the Angel territory 

It took a lot of energy to fly so close to the hub of Angel power, and without the adrenaline that had accompanied me on my last visit, I was tempted to just give up and leave while I could

But like I mentioned before, if I failed on a mission so important to the general, that would be instant death. No trial, no hunting, just death

And a painful one too

Anyhow, after pissing off all the Angel guards I ran into, I finally found the gates to Heaven and came to a hover right in front, careful not to touch anything

The gates slowly opened, and I tentatively flew into Heaven

The overwhelming brightness and pure energy of everything almost made me pass out, and it felt like I was burning alive, and not in a good demon-like way either 

I stumbled around before an Angel roughly grabbed my arm "If you don't want to die then I suggest you come with me" the Angel said and I decided that following their advice would be for the best 

The Angel flew with me through Heaven, though I could barely see it in full detail since everything was so damn bright 

After awhile, we flew into a dark room and I immediately felt myself relax

I let out of sigh of relief as my feet touched the cool stone floor

"Obsidian, like what you have in hell. It was Martha's idea" The Angel informed "She's on her way, wait here" they added and with that they left quickly 

I sat down on the cool black stone to rest and try to calm down from the sudden over stimulation that Heaven had brought 

After a couple minutes, someone flew in and the energy they brought with them made me feel a bit queasy again. Something told me this newcomer was important, so I stood up, and faced whoever had joined me
