A car pulled up the dark driveway, the only source of light being the full moon which illuminated the surroundings, and parked close to the big mansion Emiliana had grown up in. The doors opened and Marco and his team stepped out as they surveyed the vicinity, their acute vision missing no detail. No light could be seen from inside the mansion and it appeared to have been left the same way it were before they left for the Cornelius mansion. It was so eerie quiet, even their sensitive ears couldn't pick up any sound which was strange.

"There were here." Jake spoke up as he sniffed the air and turned to them. "Probably a few hours ago or less."
"Pick up any scent from inside the mansion?" Luca asked walking up to Jake.
"None so far." Luca nodded.
"Jake and Astore, you're with me. Luca and Anita, guard the perimeter. We don't want any nasty surprises or anyone getting away."
"Understood."

Luca stayed in front of the mansion while Anita walked to the side of the house, Marco, Jake and Astore walked into the house entering into the living room.

"Jake, you take Lord Antonio's office, Astore search the other rooms on this floor, I will take the next floor." Marco said and they nodded.

Jake went in a little distance and with a right turn walked into the big office. He flicked the lights on illuminating the room, the big mahogany desk was placed by the left close to the edge of the wall, the other side of the wall had a big bookshelf with multiple books on it, a long cushion was at another side and had an open book on it. He walked towards the cushion and sniffed the air picking up a scent immediately. The scent was fresh meaning someone had been there not too long ago, probably minutes ago. The book on the cushion was one of Antonio's journals which he wrote over the years. Whoever was here was clearly hunting for information about the house of Cornelius and Jake knew he had to warn the others.
As he turned to walk out of the room, in a flash he was pinned to the wall beside the bookshelf, two long swords driven into his chest, one through his heart and the other through the right side of his chest. Jake let out a loud shout as blood poured from his chest. He looked up to stare into the blood red eyes of his attacker who smiled an evil smile at him as she pushed the swords deeper.

"Fuck" Jake felt helpless as blood flowed down his mouth and chest. Whipping her head to the door, the vampire's eyes widened and moving swiftly she was out of the room through the door. A second after she left, Astore ran into the room eyes immediately moving to stand in front of Jake.
"This looks bad." She turned her head back to the door. "Anita, she's coming your way." She said out loud.

Anita stood outside, arms folded and foot tapping on the ground in boredom when she heard Astore loud and clear thanks to her vampire hearing.
"Finally!" She cracked her knuckles. "Some action."
Moving in a blur the figure bursted out of the house from the side and made a beeline for the part of the woods closest to the house. She had almost made it into the woods when a firm grip on her shoulder pulled her back flipping her in the air and slamming her hard on the ground. Anita landed on top of her with the vampire in between her legs and her hand in the vampire's chest and another hand holding its neck in a tight grip.
"You're gonna be answering a few questions for me or you lose your heart out." Anita smirked at the vampire as she struggled to get out from under her.

Luca stood facing the vampire who had just walked out through the front door after Astore left to deal with the vampire who fled. The guy had bright red hair and a tattoo on his forehead.
"Did you really think you could escape by just walking out the front door?" Luca eyed him thoroughly.
"Not really. I thought it would be easier to take on one and not two." He shrugged.
Luca laughed. "You think you can take me on?" His eyes shone with amusement.
"I don't think. I know."
"This is gonna be the best fun I have had in a while." Luca cracked his knuckles.
