Room To Breathe

When we got back to my house we went into the kitchen to get a drink.

"What do you want to do today guys?" I ask

"Shopping?" Connor suggested

"Yeah ok. Shall we go in after we finish our drinks?" Brad said

"Yeah"

As we were in Top shop Connor turned to me.

"Are you doing anything this weekend?" He asked smiling.

"Nope!" I smiled back. "Why?"

"Because me and the rest of the boys are going for a weekend away and they're bringing their girlfriends so you could meet everyone."

"Yeah i'd love that." I smiled. "Where's Brad?"

"I don't know shall we go and find him?"

We walked out of the shop and into the shopping centre.

Suddenly I felt Connor grab my hand and use his other hand to point saying 'DANGER WET FLOOR!'

He dragged me over "Care to dance?"

I burst out laughing. "What?" I say through laughs.

"Come here." He laughs too.

He pulled me onto the bit where the floor was wet and span me round.

"What are you doing, you weirdo!" I squealed..

"Ice skating, but not on ice on a wet floor!"

We were now dancing on the wet floor when we stopped and looked into eachothers eyes. I never realised how blue they were until now. It was probably only a few seconds we were staring at eachother but it felt like ages. During that time it all fell into place how I have only known this boy properly for less than a day, but am already falling for him. Hard.

Before I knew it we were leaning in. It wasn't long before our lips collided, making my body erupt with warmth and shivers at the same time.

"HEY!"

The sudden noise made us slip over and land on our backs. I'm not going to lie it hurt like hell but I still burst out laughing. Connor stood up, grabbed my hand and ran leaving the security guard chasing after us. Our shoes were still slippery from the water so we were sliding all over the place.

I looked behind to see the security guard quite far behind us. We ran all the way to the carand drove down the road a bit. When we stopped at the side of the road we both started laughing hysterically.

"Shit!" He looked at me. "What about Brad?"

"Oh shit!" He got his phone out and started dialing a number which I assumed was Brad's.

"Hi mate. Yeah. Long story. I'm down the road. She's with me. Yeah ok. Wait there. Ok see you soon." He hung up and turned to face me. "We have to go pick him up now."

"I gathered." I giggled.

Strangely it wasn't awkward between us like I thought it would be.

"Ruby?" I turned to face him.

"Would you like to go out tonight? Like just me and you? I mean you don't have to i was just wondering." He said all in one go.

"Con." I interupted. "I would love to"

He smiled at me.

By the time we had picked up Brad, grabbed some McDonalds and got home it was already 6pm. Connor came up to me whilst I was in the kitchen. "Where did you want to go tonight?" He asked.

"I don't mind." I smiled brightly.

"Oh I know!" He suddenly said. "Go get dressed into something casual and comeback downstairs."

I ran upstairs and went into my room. I pulled on my black ripped skinny jeans and my Arctic Monkeys top. I walked over to my desk and applied some eyeliner.

By the time I got downstairs Connor was waiting for me at the door. "Are you ready?" He asks.

"Yeah!" I smiled. "See you in a while Brad!" I waved.

"Yeah see you later!"

As we walked out of the door I turned to Connor. "So where are we going?" I was curious because Connor had never been here before so how did he know any places to go?

"I looked on Google Maps and found a nice park just up the road." He smiled obviously proud he had found somewhere to go without asking me.

When we got to the park, he pulled out his phone and an amplifier and turned on his music to shuffle. We sat down on the grass and I was grateful that it wasn't raining today. I layed down on the grass where we were sat and started humming along to the song that was playing.

"You and Brad seem really close." He suddenly asked me.

"Yeah it's strange, we only met yesterday morning and now we're really close!" I laughed.

He grabbed my hand and layed down next to me. If anyone was to walk into the park at this very moment, it would look like we wre a part of one of those really really cheesy romance films.

"I know it's strange, but I really like you Ruby" He said still looking up at the stars.

I propped my self up on my right elbow. "I really like you too Con."

He mirrored my actions and leaned on his elbow too. "Really?" He asked. He sounded shocked it made me laugh.

"Yes, really!" I laughed. My favourite song came on, 'Room to breathe' by You Me At Six.

He started leaning in just as it came up to the chorus.

We stayed there for the next couple of hours just talking when Room To Breathe started playing again. I reched over him to turn the screen on. It said it was 11:56pm.

"Con, we've been here for almost five hours!" I said standing up.

As we were walking home he grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"Ruby, I know we haven't known eachother for long at all. But would you like to be my girlfriend?"

I could tell he was nervous by the way he wouldn't look into my eyes.

I pulled his face gently and leaned in. "Yes." I whispered at the last second before our lips collide.

He was slightly taller than me so i had to stand on my tip toes to reach, but I didn't mind, honestly I loved it.

When we got back home, we walked upstairs to find Brad asleep spread out on Connor's and his bed on the floor.

"Do you want to come in my bed?" I whispered laughing quietly at Brad.

"Yeah if you don't mind." He whispers back.

I get my shorts and vest top from out of my drawers and go into the bathroom to change. On my way to the bathroom, I hear Callie snoring slightly from her room. I smile while I go into her room.

Like Brad, she was spread all over her bed with her quilt on the floor. I pick the quilt up and place it over her before kissing her lightly on the head and exiting the room.

When I get back into my room, Con is already snuggled up in my bed. I jump in and can feel myself drifting off, as i'm falling asleep I feel two arms wrap around me from behind. Knowing it's Connor, I snuggle into him before sinking into my slumber.
