Veronica's POV

Getting up ,i started to dress up while zach laidback looking at my naked body shamelessly.

Ignoring his lustful stares,i told him I'd back as i saw jennifer motioning me to come out,holding the robe closer to my body i raised a brow,waiting for her to start talking as to why she disturbed such a beautiful moment.

"Mrs Herron ,someone named juliet is waiting for you outside"she said hesitantly.

Nodding to her,i started walking downstairs to the lounge area,she smiled as she saw me walking towards her.

"Hi roni"she said Sheepishly.

"Hi juliet"i replied slightly smiling.

"I'm sorry I disturbed you at this time but,i have something important to tell yo-" she was cut off by zachs loud voice.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" He roared.
"She's a friend,do you know her?" I asked with a confused expression on my face.
"No-"

"Yes,he does!" Juliet replied looking at him very weirdly.

"Umm that's a good thing right?"i voiced my thought.

"Veronica that man is a cheater,liar and a k-killer"she whispered as she broke infront of me,her eyes bloodshot.

"Juliet what are you saying?" I slowly walked to her and looked in her eyes,looking for answers.

"He cheated on you 7 months ago when he said he was going on a business trip ,he got me pregnant and then yesterday when i told him that i was going to tell everything to you,he k-killed my baby"she cried continuously looking at me ,pleading me with her eyes to believe her.

I stood there shocked,broken and lost what was happening? Where did i go so wrong?

"Baby,don't listen to that whore,she just wants to come between us,she just wants my money"he kept talking and kept coming closer but on instinct i backed away,horrified of him .

"I have proof"juliet spoke.
Taking something out from her bag ,she gave me a CD ,swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat i shakily took it and just stared at it.

"You bitch"he lunged forward towards her,i came in between them,waiting for the impact that was to come but nothing happened except the sound of a gun going off.

Turning back i saw juliet standing with a gun in her hand and a look of horror on her face.

"Baby" he screamed

I didn't feel it until he came rushing to my side and holding me in his arms,crying with tears.

Why was he crying? And then suddenly i blackened out.

Veronica's POV
"how are you feeling!?" Jonah asked as he brought his special chicken soup for me.

"If you mean better by ,my ex husband cheating on me,killing his child and then me almost dying,then I'm just peachy" i replied with sarcasm and disgust at thought of marrying a shameless person.

"You know what i meant"

"No ,no I don't" i replied looking at him,for the first time clearly looking at his face.

His eyes that shone with happiness,his lips curved in a devious smirk and his hair all soft and ready to be pulled.

"I get that I'm hot,but you don't have to shamelessly check me out"he said while winking.

"You wish i was checking you out" i smiled slightly.

"Thank you"i then said staring into his eyes only to find the love I've been looking for.

Jonah's POV
"You may kiss the bride" i grabbed her by her waist and kissed the life out of her rosy lips.

She smiled at me after so many years she genuinely smiled and it made me feel things i never thought I'd feel.
