Chapter 1 "The news"

Once I woke up this morning , ate breakfast , got dressed , and went shopping for my friend Amanda's party. My mom said "Alexa pick something because we can't just stay here for long." I said " Will okay let me go to Charlotte's Ruse." Then I was going to use the elevator but for some reason there was a whole crowd of people crying and I question myself "What's wrong and what happened?"
I got a bad feeling in my stomach like if a heavy rock was in there. Then I got a chance to see what was going on and something tragic had happened, turns out an old lady had gotten a heart attack and she was shopping with her family which made a lot of sense why people were crying. So I had to go to the escalators to go to Charlottes Ruse and later then I got a dress that was turquoise with a denim jacket since it was on December 5 . So my mom drove me home and while we arrived home
my parents said " Alexa hate to break it to you but where planning on moving to Compton ." I got that terrible feeling and got really sad because I was gonna leave my friends behind . I told them "Why do you have to do this to me ?" "How would I got to Amanda's party?" They said "Alexa it's only one hour away and we are not gonna move on the 5th of December were moving on the 7th , you can still go to Amanda's party but we gotta start packing up our things." So I did while the tears on my face were running like a waterfall and I thought "I don't wanna leave my friends behind and I don't wanna leave LA. Later that Saturday night my dad said "Alexa I know it's hard for you to leave this beautiful place and your friends behind but think it this way there are good jobs at Compton , your gonna go to school with Nicole, Samantha, Ana, and Bryan." I was a little happy after he said that because those are my favorite cousins and I don't really get to spend time with them. So the next morning December 2nd I woke up and took a shower for church since it always made me happy to go . Later that evening I went on my Mac to watch Steven Fernandez's videos on YouTube . Gotta say he's a beast at skating and stuff . Later then I fell asleep and woke up the next morning , got dressed for school , and waited at my bus stop. I was around other people that I didn't talk to and there was two boys called Alan and Blake. Blake said "Oh hey Alexa you look beautiful." I was surprised since we never really talked and I said "Thanks Blake." Alan said "Blake your so stupid she is so ugly. Blake replied "No she isn't ugly I always thought she was beautiful every time I saw her, if you have nothing good to say don't say anything." I was blushing because Blake hadn't really talked to me since 6th grade and I got to admit he is hot. Then our bus came and Blake wanted to sit next to me. So he did and he said "Alexa I really like you and I'm hoping that you can be my girlfriend?" I said "Yes." He was really happy and I still hadn't told him about me moving to Compton . So days past untill the 5th which was Amanda's party and I got dressed to my turquoise dress and put in my denim jacket . I texted Amanda saying "Amanda would you mind if I invite my boyfriend." She said "Sure but who's your boyfriend? you haven't really told me about him. I said "will Hes Blake he's in our gym , English , and math class.
Amanda said "oh him and yeah he can come"
Amanda's POV
When Alexa told me that her boyfriend was Blake, I couldn't believe it since I have been liking him since forever but I won't tell Alexa because I don't wanna ruin our friendship.
