Universal (An OSC story)

Chapter 1

My name is Envelope. I am a normal object. I live in Object Land, where all the objects in the universe live. It is an infinite planet that goes on forever and ever as long as more object shows are made. My life was great and I had very many friends. I was walking along with my friends Pawn and Coffee Mug when I randomly blacked out, causing Pawn and Coffee Mug to cause a riot. I woke up after what seemed like hours. I was in a place that was unfamiliar to me, so obviously I called out for my friends to see if they had taken me to a hospital. "Coffee Mug? Pawn? Where are you guys?" I called out desperately to solve this mystery. I heard a door open and then close. I was in some sort of room with a ton of boxes everywhere. Now, I live in a house like any other normal person, so I looked around and I knew exactly where I was. I was in someone's attic. I was muttering random words to myself and I was praying to god that I would get out of this weird situation. Somebody heard me, and they asked questions instantly and pretty intensely. "Who are you?! WHERE are you?!?" this mystery person asked frantically. He listened to my voice and tried to find where it was coming from. It didn't take long for them to find out, and they opened the attic door. I quickly hid so they couldn't find me, but they climbed up into the attic and grabbed a flashlight. He turned it on and started the search. He found a suspicious-looking stack of boxes and he pulled one out. I saw the ray of light coming into my hiding spot and I scrambled and glued myself on the wall. He removed more and more boxes. He eventually removed enough so that he could duck and enter the hiding spot. I blended in with the darkness, so when he was looking, I quickly and quietly exited the hiding spot. I ran down the ladder leading up to the attic and fell. This guy had hardwood floor, so a gash appeared on my knee. I clutched it and heard him coming. I got up and tried to run as fast as I could, even though my injury prevented me from going fast. I went into the nearest room I could find, closed the door, and hid. While in my hiding spot, I could see a little bit of this mysterious room. Being normally a curious person, I looked around a little bit. Now, I had seen this man's face already. I memorized what he looked like. I saw a bunch of pictures that had that face on it. "No way. I think I just entered his room," I said as he opened the door and shone that ray of light everywhere. I was silent. He checked everywhere that looked like a hiding place. He came closer and closer to finding me. I could hear his short breaths. He found me and blinded me with the flashlight. I made a weird sound and put my hands over my eyes. He turned the flashlight off, slowly walked towards the light switch, and flipped it. The lights turned on and he got a good look at me. I thought for a moment. He was still in awe and was processing the sight of me, so I slapped him in the face and then ran away. "Hey! Come back here!" the guy yelled at me as he chased me. I still was limping while trying to run because of my injury, so he quickly caught up to me and grabbed me. The mystery man laughed at me. "Haha! Hey Bryan, come look at this!" he said as he called this 'Bryan' over. I tried to wiggle my way out of his grasp, but it was way too tight for me and I quickly realized that I could not escape. Someone else came and looked at me while the mystery man was still holding me. "Wow Matt, this is really something," Bryan said to 'Matt' as Bryan processed my existence. Matt dropped me on the ground. Then he and Bryan ran to their room and locked the door. I got up and rubbed my cheek. My knee would have to be fixed and there was a big bruise on my cheek. I noticed something on my arm when I was looking for any other injuries that I had. It was a countdown that seemed to be counting down from 24 hours. "That must be my time to get back somehow," I thought as I looked at the clock countdown inevitably. Today went from extremely good to extremely confusing in the time span of 20 minutes. Now I have to get to the bottom of this.
