"ISABEL! GET DOWN HERE! YOUR'E GOING TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!" my mom yelled at me from down the stairs.
"MOOOM! I'M UP!" I yelled back just as loud. I moaned as a stretched my back as I got out of my huge four poster bed and stumbled as I walked into my en suite bathroom. My abusive parents had just moved into this new house, and I was going to be joining the local high school halfway through the semester as a senior. My life sucked.
I looked into the mirror at my ugly reflection. I had long blonde hair that went all the way down to my back, and it always curled just like I had taken an iron to it naturally. I hated it. I looked into my big, green eyes that always seemed to be a different shade than the day before. I washed my face and applied light makeup; I wasn't like all those other girls who loved to cake themselves up. I kept it natural by only applying light foundation, mascara, eyebrows, eyeliner, and lip gloss.
I walked into my walk-in closet and looked at all of the sweaters and t-shirts, other girls own dresses and I owned jeans. That's why I didn't get along with girls at my old school and why I was bullied. I decided on light wash jeans that were ripped just a little on the knees and thighs, and I paired it with a long sleeve black and white striped shirt, which I wore under a vintage band shirt. I knew that I would let everyone know that I was different the first time they saw me.I walked downstairs to see my mom, she walked up to me and punched me. She was so mean I hate her. "Isabel you suck go to school" I cried as I walked the 10 miles to school, which would be the worst day of my life.
I got to school and went to the principal's office. He was a fat man who assigned me a buddy to take me to my classes and show me around. "Isabel this is Natalie she will show you around" Principle Big-Butt said. Behind him was a girl who was super pretty. She had these bangs that were cut poorly, but somehow fit the rest of her outfit. She was wearing mom jeans and a pink t-shirt tucked into the jeans. Her hair was curled and pinned back, and she looked really cool
"Hi Principle Big-Butt I am so excited to show Isabel around! Isabel you will love it here" She told me and the principle. I could tell that she was different, like me, and that we would be god friends. As we left the office, she started asking me questions that I couldn't answer. She asked about my family, and I couldn't tell her that they hated me. I just gave half answers and asked about the school. As she was about to answer, a large group of jocks in varsity jackets surrounded the two of us.
"Hey pretty thing, how about you come over to mine later tonight" One of the guys smirked at Natalie.
"Ew only in your dreams Jeremy, I actually have taste unlike those other girls" Natalie spat back. She was soooo smart and witty.
"And what about you girly, how would you like to have some fun?" A different boy, who looked like the leader, spoke.
"Brad leave her alone! She's new" Natalie spoke for me.
"No I don't think I will..." Brad smirked evilly. He walked towards me and soon had me pressed against the wall.
"Hey! Leave me alone!" I tried to defend myself, but he had me pinned. Then, he was ripped off of me, and I fell to the ground. I was already bruising on my wrists for where he grabbed me. I saw some tall, light haired, extremely handsome boy beating the crap out of that loser Brad. He was wearing black jeans, a light shirt, and a dark jacket over his shirt. He screamed of dominance and power, and I was distracted from my pain by his hotness, but only for a little bit.
"Owww, my wrist" I hissed. By that point this hottie had let Brad run away crying. He rushed over to where I still was on the ground. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me up, sparks lit up and exploded wherever he grabbed me. I was so close to him that I could smell him. He smelled like cloves and dill, and I couldn't get enough.
"Oh my gosh Isabel! Are you okay?" Natalie exclaimed.
"Isabel, is that it? How are you? Did he hurt you?" This mystery boy asked me, as his breath fanned over my face. He was crouching down so we were on eye level, but I could tell he was at least a foot taller than my short 5'3" frame.
"I-I think I'm okay. My wrists just really hurt." I whispered as I was lost in his blue eyes. He softly grabbed my hands and looked at my wrists and looked angry as he saw the angry bruising.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you ever again." He seemed really mad, which was weird. He signed and moved away from me, but I immediately was sad at the loss of contact. He and his group of friends started to get ready to leave, but I stopped them.
"WAIT! Who, who are you?" I called after them. He turned and gave me a drop-dead gorgeous smile, one that made the butterflies in my tummy do a backflip.
"Armitage Hux, I'll see you soon Isabel...?"
"Bauer, Isabel Bauer." He smiled.
"I'll see you soon Izzy" I almost fainted right then and there when he gave me a nickname.
"Oh my gosh Isabel, that was Hux! He's crazy dangerous, I've never seen him do that before, or even talk to a girl! Rumor says that he and his friends are in some sort of gang or cult, they're BAD NEWS Isabel!" Natalie ran to my side.
"He didn't seem to bad. Why did you just call him Hux?" I asked her curious as to why she didn't use his first name.
"He doesn't let anyone use his first name, he beat up a kid who tried once back in middle school, no one dared call him by his first name after that." She explained to me. "Come on, we have every class together so we better hurry to home room before were late!" She grabbed my arm and lead me to class. All day I didn't see him again, but every class period all I could think about was his hands on me, and his name. The way it rolled off my tongue when I said it. I'll see you very soon, Armitage Hux.
