It was the beginning of the Red carpet of the Eurovision Song Contest and Iveta Mukuchyan was getting out of her rental car. They were still in Stockholm, Sweden. Iveta of Armenia walked towards a guard who would show them the way to the carpet.
"Hello there, are you a participant this year or a fan?" the guard asked.
"I'm a singer, here is my card." Iveta said, getting her card out of her purse. After she was allowed entrance, the fans wowed at her appearance. She could tell Douwe Bob of the Netherlands was with Samra of Azerbaijan and Amir of France was being interviewed.
Her outfit consisted of a white dress, with a white veil with black stripes on the ends, the skirt had a slit in the middle, white stiletto open toed heels, and a silver bracelet on her right arm. Her hair was up in a slightly messy bun with her bangs hanging out of it.
She was looking for someone in specific, Sergey Lazarev of Russia. His song this year was "You Are The Only One" written by Dimitris Kontopoulos, John Ballard, Ralph Charlie, and the legendary Philipp Kirkorov. She heard nice things about him and desperately wanted a friend in the contest. Douwe seemed to be out of the question due to his connection with Samra, Samra was obviously out of the question, and Amir was still in the question for she didn't hear anything negative about him yet.
Sergey Lazarev finally showed up. He was later joined by Jamala of Ukraine. Everyone looked and started to chatter away. The relations between Russia and Ukraine were not te best at the time and seeing Jamala with Sergey shocked them.
Sergey was wearing a generic black suit with a white blouse underneath. He was wearing a matching black tie and black dress shoes. His hair was gelled to the right. Jamala was wearing a grey lace and silk dress ,with silver pumps, multiple silver rings, a black hair tie, and a gold thin chain necklace. Her hair was up in a messy bun near the front of her head.
Iveta turned around to see what the silent chatter was about and saw a man that matched the description she had looked up earlier. She walked over to both Jamala and Sergey. She knew Sergey but not the lady near him.
"Hey there! Are you Sergey Lazarev?" Iveta asked him.
"I am, yes! Who are you?" Sergey asked her back.
"I'm Iveta, I'm the Armenian singer this year. Is this your wife?" Iveta asked. She was never told about Jamala.
Both Jamala and Sergey looked at each other and laughed a bit.
"Oh no, we've just met a week ago. This is Jamala, she's representing Ukraine this year with '1944'." Sergey informed Iveta. Iveta blushed a bit.
"Oh my God, I am so sorry! Nice to meet you too Jamala!" Iveta lightly put her right hand on her temple and put out her left hand.
"Nice to meet you too! What's your song?" Jamala asked, shaking her hand.
"'LoveWave' is the name of it. It's a slower pop song. What's your song's type?" Iveta asked.
"Ethnic I think? I don't really label it as anything but a song." Jamala answered.
"Oh, I'll have to listen to it!" Iveta said.
"Iveta let's go, we need to do an interview with William from Wiwibloggs." a man told her. He was on her promotion team. He was wearing a shirt with her face on it, black pants, and Converse.
"Oh okay, I have to go! I'll see you two soon I hope!" Iveta said, leaving with the promotion man.
"See you tomorrow at rehearsals!" Sergey said, waving goodbye to her. Iveta heard and waved back. She was gone within 15 seconds. Jamala looked up to see Sergey blushing a bit.
"You like her already." Jamala teased.
"Oh stop." Sergey smiled, blushed redder, and laughed. Iveta was gorgeous!
"Never, you like her!" Jamala said back. She smiled wider and covered her mouth.
"Okay maybe a bit. But please do not tell her that Susana, I'm begging you." Sergey fessed a bit.
"I promise you, I won't tell Eva." Jamala said, giving him a silent oath with a nod.
The Red carpet was coming to an end. Jamala, Iveta, Douwe, and Samra drove away by now. Sergey got into his car and could not stop thinking about Iveta. His face was practically blood red at this point. Come on Sergey! You literally don't know her at all!
He needed some advice... He got home to the hotel the singers were staying at and decided to talk to Juri of Estonia. He seemed like a straightforward guy to talk to and to get honest advice. As an addition, he loved Juri's songwriter, Stig Rasta's, song last year 'Goodbye to Yesterday' with Elina Born. He didn't know if Elina was here, but he would probably fanboy a bit. Both Juri and Sergey saw each other before but didn't talk to each other at a hangout the other night.
"Hey may I have the room number of Juri Pootsmann?" Sergey asked the hotel clerk. Her name tag said her name was Andrea. She had short blonde hair, light grey eyes, and plain white skin. She wore an uniform of a burgundy Polo shirt, black pants, and black shoes. She also wore horn rimmed glasses.
"Why do you need it?" Andrea asked.
"I need to talk to him really quickly." Sergey explained.
"I'll call him down sir, sit down here." Andrea pointed to a chair nearby the receptionist's desk. She dialed his number and waited for him to answer.
"Hello, what's up Andi?" Juri asked. Him and Andrea had become acquaintances due to their no BS attitude.
"You have someone down here requesting to see you though I don't think you two have met. He's harmless but I didn't want him to invade your room." Andrea said.
"I'll be down soon, give me a second." Juri said, hanging up.
"What did he say?" Sergey asked.
"He'll be down, stay there." Andrea told him. She went to the back to refill the mini store nearby the desk. It was of little mementos of the hotel and a mix of Swedish & American snacks. Juri came down and knew it was Sergey from the bar hang out. The hang out consisted of Douwe, Amir, Zoe of Austria, Francesca of Italy, and Barei of Spain.
"Hey there Sergey, what's up? You look upset." Juri was a master emotion reader.
"I need to talk to you for a second. Can we go into your room?" Sergey asked.
"Sure, thanks Andrea for calling me down." Juri said to her. Andrea smiled, nodded, and gave him a thumbs up. She went back to her work. The two men went to the elevator to have a talk.
