Jay and Andre were sitting in the living room watching a movie on TV, as they had nothing better to do. The movie was meant to be scary, but it's frightening purpose had not seemed to phase either of them. Andre was mindlessly trapped inside of the plot within the movie however, but Jay had a hard time doing the same. Every minute or so Jay's gaze would be locked towards Andre for a split second before breaking, and he had no idea why. There was nothing specifically special about Andre at the moment, he just sat there on the sofa with a somewhat mindless and slightly angered expression--but this was just his normal look. Or at least, nothing was special until he thought about it...

Jay and Andre had began to grow closer to one another (whether they realized it or not) ever since the three others had began to hang out together outside more often. Jay nor Andre are people who enjoy the outside, so they would typically find themselves stuck together in Dylan's living room. When Jay began to realize it, he started to mess with Andre like he has always done, not because he hated Andre, but because he was bored. Andre's reactions had began to become very humorous to Jay as well, making messing with him all the while worth it.

Ever since Jay met Riley, though Riley helped him become a more sociable person, he has never felt more enjoyment around someone as he does Andre. Jay has never considered putting the word attractive connected to the name of a boy in a sentence before, but this time in his mind it seemed to work. To Jay,  Andre was very attractive.

With all of this in mind, Jay wanted to generally do more with Andre. To be closer to him at all times. To see his funny reactions for somewhat dumb reasons, and to see his very (in his mind) attractive face; And, most importantly, to share time with Andre's interesting personality.

Jay was bored of the movie at this point. He wanted to do something else. Against all odds, he suggested something completely crazy to Andre.

"Hey Andre, want to go do something else?" Jay asked.

"Like what?" Andre blankly responded.

"We could go out and do something, there's an area in the park that always looks cool at night. Would you want to go look?" Jay said, prompting for a positive answer.

"Sure, I guess. This movie is getting pretty boring, anyway." Andre responded.

Jay was ecstatic, for some reason, within his mind. For once they get to do something together outside the house.

The moment they made it to where he wanted to go, Jay immediately fell to the ground looking up into the clear night sky.

"What are you doing?" Andre said, chuckling slightly with a noticeable smirk.

"This is what's so cool about this place. As far as I know, this is the best place in the city to get a good view of the starry night sky. I sometimes come here if I need to clear my mind." Said Jay, embarrassed on the location's purpose.

Andre joined him on the ground. The grass was a nice and short length, perfect for laying in. There was a slight breeze that had a slight emotional impact on both of them due to its calming ambiance. The way the distant trees were waving in the background was satisfying to both of them, as well as the glimmer from the star filled sky above.

Jay pointed out the North Star to Andre, and as he put his hand down...

It collided with Andre's.

Everything he was thinking about before came rushing back to him, just like the blood in his face that made him blush. He realized the reason he couldn't stop looking at Andre. He realized why he considered Andre attractive, why it was so funny to mess with him, why he truly enjoyed spending time with him often. But, the most important thing he realized, was that...

He liked him.

Like, he like liked him. He had a crush on Andre. A big crush. All this time. How wasn't it never apparent to him? The answer was probably because Jay had never had a crush on a boy before. No wonder Andre was so attractive to him.

Normally though, if Jay had accidentally touched anyone, especially like this, he would immediately retract his hand away. But this time, it was different. In fact, it was the opposite. He didn't want to move his hand, at all.

Jay tried really hard to hide the fact that he was blushing, but the contrast between his blue clothing and his red face was extremely apparent to Andre. What Jay didn't know is that Andre felt the same way about him, but had never told anyone about it. He was really good at hiding it too.

But what Andre wasn't good at doing was hiding the fact that he was simultaneously blushing as well. They both subconsciously realized the same thing, that they had a crush on...

Each other.

Everything paused. Everything. Life, time. Everything. At least, to both Jay and Andre. They both got up, still holding hands, and looked at each other into their now dilated eyes, which was to likely let as much light in so they can see one another at the best they possibly could.

"I-" Jay said.

"I had no idea," Jay said, again.

Andre said nothing though. All Andre did was get closer. And closer. Uncomfortably close; at least it would be uncomfortable to someone who didn't have this big of a crush on him. The stars were at their brightest, the moon was at it's fullest, and the wind was starting to dramatically pick up. Maybe this was a truly magical place? Nevertheless, nature had reflected the way Jay felt at this very moment.

And though Jay was aware time was still moving, it was as if the same moment of time was going on forever. He wanted it to go on forever, in fact. Jay knew what was going on, and mimicked Andre's motion. Their hands started to clench together, stronger than they were before. Almost synchronized in movement, their faces were getting closer, and closer, until...

It happened.

They were kissing. They were actually kissing. Mouth on mouth. Lips on lips. Jay had no idea how to react. He had never kissed a boy before, nor anyone for that matter. Though he didn't know how, he didn't want to stop. He followed Andre's lead.

They eventually stopped, though still speechless. Jay looked up to the constellations to see one that was shaped like an "A", a "+", and a "J", all in line with one another. He continued looking up into the calming night sky, wondering what was next to come for himself, and for both of them.
