"The fuck?! Sam! Wake up, we're gonna be late!" Cam yells in my room. I slowly open my eyes.
"Can't. I'm.. Sick." I say, and hold my stomach.
He rolls his eyes, "look, if this is a lady thing, you should still go to school.." he says. Being the "scholar" he is, he probably has never missed a day of school and probably doesn't want me to either.
I try not to smile, "it's..not. I feel like I'm about to puke. Just go, I'll be fine." I say, shooing him.
"Okay... Since my mom is at work, I'll call in and check on you at lunch," he says stepping out. "Feel better," then he leaves, and closes my door. He's sweet, I feel bad for lying to him.
But I smile to myself, and get out of bed when I hear his Ford roar down the road. I get into Jean shorts, a crop top, and converses. No shitty uniform today.
I look at my phone and see a text from Jack.
Hey. I'll be there in 10.
I smile. Are you really doing this, Sam?

He drives a different car. A Honda. I walk out and get in.
"Sup," he says.
"Hey," I reply, we're starting to be fast friends. I'm starting to think I might like him more than that soon...
We drive away, "so, uh. Where we going?" I ask.
"I dunno. Just somewhere," he starts. "Where do you wanna go?" he asks.
"Surprise me," I say. Remember, I've never been to California.
We pull out of Chino, and enter LA.
"Oh... LA, huh?" I say.
He grins, "yeah. There's this place I like that only comes around for a week a year..."
What does he mean?
Then we pull up to a fair, "wow." I say, looking at it's tallest ride. "Are we aloud to be here?" I ask, stepping out.
He shrugs, "probably not."
