The little pups begin to nibble at the fresh hunted rabbits that papa got them. Once all the pups were finished and full, it was time to leave the den again. This time mama would stay back, making sure no intruders would come by, as well as Luna, the shy pup and comet, the loud pup. They decided to stay back and help mama while papa taught the other four how to hunt. Papa headed down towards the creek, where many animals have decided to rest. Papa crouched down, the pups would follow his movements. Noticing a stray mouse, he pounced, catching the mouse under his paws. The pups yipped but papa barked quietly, making sure that the animals wouldn't be scared off. He stood back and allowed the pups to hunt on their own, of course keeping a close eye on them. Back home, mama wolf was taking a well deserved rest, while the other two pups were playing. Papa wolf and the other four pups managed to get back in a timely fashion. The little pups dropped what they had hunter. Which were mainly little mice. Papa barked, letting the pups know to stay here while he went to hunt. Mama, who woke up from her nice rest, herded the other pups further into the den so they wouldn't try and escape. After a long time, papa wolf returned with his kill, along with a few scratch marks from the hunt. Mama wolf got up and helped him then laid him down, licking at his wounds. The pups yipped happily that their papa made it back safely. After a bit they all went to eat their fill and soon, the sun began to set on another day for the pups and their parents.
