I couldn't look up. The pain in my neck was creeping down, tingling through my fingertips. Not much longer till death took me. I tried to roll over but the open wound running down my body was so painful and I couldn't help but wince. "Shame it had to end like this. Don't you agree." The voice was smooth like glass and I used the last of my strength to look up. My vision was so blurred that I couldn't make out the face. She wipped of the blade letting my blood drip across the floor in victory. "So little time. Wasted," she jerked my face up to look at hers."What a disgrace." I tried to jerk away but her gaze held me and her grip would not let go. "Did you really think that we would not notice it was gone?" She grabbed the blade again, letting it hover above my jaw. "You may be close to death but I can still bring you pain. How about we make a deal you and I?" She got up, pacing the room, letting her long black dress drape behind her. "Tell me where it is and I might just let you live." I couldn't help but laugh. "Why?" I whispered, letting my gaze match hers. "There is nothing left for me." I whispered closing my eyes, and letting my hands lay against the stone cold floor. "It is safe, and that is all that maters." The room went dark, nothing but a faint green glow illuminating her. "So be it."
