5:06pm. Monday, November 29th

I wait for Luke,  laying on the couch flipping through the TV channels.

American Horror Story is on. A repeat but I don't mind.

As I start getting into the episode, a knock on my front door makes me jump and flip off the couch. Luke. Finally. I get up and recover my fall before walking to the door and opening it for him. On the other side of the glass door stood a blond hair giant staring right back at me. I smile and welcome him inside. He apologized for being late since he got lost on the way here.

We walk upstairs to my bedroom and sit down on the white comforter covering my bed. Luke looks around,  scanning the walls.  He seems a little nervous being here for the first time but tried to make it as least noticeable as possible.

"So where should we start?" I ask, opening up my binder and grabbing the first piece of paper I see.  Luke clears his voice and shrugs his shoulders. Nothing else.

"Nothing? I mean we already have an idea what it's gonna be about, Love, that's what we got chosen for
What do you think about love?"

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"How can I know about love if I've never been in love."

This is gonna take forever.

"You don't have to be in love to feel love. What about friends or family, or -"

"I don't have friends and I don't love my family."

"What? How do you not love-"

"But I do love music. Music's cool."

"See? That's something, we've got something now. What kind of music do you like? Do you play music?"

"Actually i play guitar, and I sing a little, but I like Blink, Green Day, Good Charlotte..."

"I've never heard of them. Are they rappers or something?"

Luke looks over at me, eyes wide open and jaw hanging.

"Oh my god how do you not know who they are,  they're legends. Oh right, you're one of those 'bubblegum pop' popular girls, I forgot. "

Im not sure if that was supposed to be a compliment or not. "Fine, I'll listen to one of your Green Charlotte bands,  whatever they're called. "

He groans. Did I doing something wrong? He just nods and smiles at the ceiling.

"Okay, and tell me what you think of them right after you listen. I swear you'll love them."

I smile at him and face the other way. He seems more comfortable after talking about his favorite bands, he must be a music enthusiast. Hey, maybe if he's talented enough he could even start a band.

Maybe.

For the rest of the night we just talked and talked about music, and our favorite things. He learned that I love pizza, watching the kardashians, and how can't stand dad jokes. And I learned Luke has two older brothers and basically has a mind of a 5 year old. That's why he doesn't like to talk in school. He's scared someone will put down his ideas because its stupid and he's dumb.

The next time I check the time it was already after 11.

"Oh my god time went fast. "

"And we had zero progress," Luke chuckles.

I walk him downstairs and out the front door. He pulled out his phone and smiles. He shows me the time.

11:11 pm

"Make a wish," Luke whispers.

"What?"

"When its 11:11 you make a wish and its supposed to come true. "

"Wow that is ridiculous," I laugh slowly heading back inside. Luke checks the time again.

11:12

"Great you made me miss it. There's another thing you should know about me. I believe in those good luck charm things, like 11:11. " he backs up into the street. "See you tomorrow Bell. "

"See you tomorrow, Luke!" I call out to him as he jumped in his car.

I still have a lot more to know about this Luke Hemmings before we are officially friends. And our journey begins with music.
