"She'll heal, son. This car accident didn't kill her, but she will be as good as new in a few months."The nurse told me.

I was sitting in a chair, holding my little sister's hand as I watched her chest rise and fall. She went to that party, and decided to get in the car with a drunk driver, drove into a tree and now she's in a hospital bed. She's been here for a week, unconscious for it all.

"Can I come see Hannah?"A familiar voice called out.

I peered into the amber eyes of Cameron. He's been here once a day, talking to Hannah endlessly about random things.

"I need to tell you something. The day before the party I told Hannah something. I told her I loved her."Cameron whispered the last sentence.

I wasn't mad. I wasn't upset. I was numb. How do I react?

"Well then..."I trailed off.

"Are you mad?"

"No."

"Upset?"

"No."

"Offended?"

"No."

"So you're OK with it?"

"No."

"OK then..."

I zoned out after the silence settled in. I hadn't left this room. People brought me food, I slept in this chair, a bathroom was attached to the room she is in. I waited for her to pull out of this coma. I kept waiting. That's all I could do.
