Jasper was the only reason Jonas managed to be ripped from the hands he called his mother. Jonas and jasper are not actually related, but had gone to school together before he suddenly stopped attending.
Jasper is an orphan only due to their mother and father losing custody over them once law enforcement learned of the child abuse. Jasper was later adopted by Ares after he gained custody of Jonas.
