Chapter 5: Year 1

Of course, Dumbledore was right. He always was. But, it was odd still. Remus was the first to raise his hand a millisecond after Dumbledore asked and got 100%. Severus didn't know Remus was that much of a nerd. Weird. Bellatrix was pouting, she hated not winning especially against Gryffindors.
As Severus left, he heard his enemy howl with laughter.
"Good un, Remus! Did you see the look on Black's face? Pouting like a baby, thinks she's the Queen!" James erupted. By the look on Bellatrix's face and the pull against her sister's tug to pull her back. In Severus' head, he egged her on as did Lucius but in a superior way. A way with a whip but no one could tame Bellatrix, she was a wild demon.
In the mass of people heading out of their classrooms to their next class, Bellatrix grabbed James' shoulder.
    "Look here, I am more powerful than you and you know it. Go and getta life, furnunculus!" Bellatrix spat. Boils sprang up all over James' face making him shriek. Sirius span around to face Bellatrix Black, his cousin, he ground his teeth together. Remus ,with Peter trailing behind, hurried James up to Madame Pomfery.
"You dare hurt my friend, my best friend, Black. Densaugeo", Sirius cried. Bellatrix's, not giving a fig about defensive spells, teeth grew and grew and grew until it was down by her chin. She clutched her face and Sirius howled with laughter.
Narcissa supported Bellatrix and supported her up to Madame Pomfery. Sirius sprinted off, clutching his sides. Severus turned to Lucius but he had run off too. His conscience was making him sick.
Poor, Severus, all alone and a freak.
Lily Evans and Alice Longbottom skipped merrily along the corridor.
"Oh, hi!" Alice beamed and sweeped into Severus' arms. Alice was probably Severus' most sister-like friend. Lily blushed but embraced Severus' nevertheless.
      "How are you, I'm so glad to see you! I was just catching up with Frank earlier, two birds killed with one stone! Lily told me all about how she hasn't seen you in months!" Alice chatted. Lily's face turned grey and Severus stared wide-eyed at Lily and stalked away.
