I stared blankly at the bloodied body that laid in front of me. I just walked out of the two-story house that had about a hundred people partying inside when I stumbled across the body of a young girl who looks to be in her early twenties. Her arms and legs were sprawled out and blood was seeping through her clothes. It looks like she fell from a great height. I looked up to find a balcony just above my head and a small one above that which was connected to the attic.

As I looked back at the girl I felt my chest get heavy and the world around me started to spin. I ran back into the house to get a phone or someone who could help. I pushed past loads of people who were dancing and talking while music boomed throughout the house. I finally found a bathroom so I locked myself in and took out my phone. I quickly dialed 911but before I could get anything out of my mouth the bathroom door swung open. Standing in the entrance of the bathroom was my best friend Emily, who was one of the hosts of the party. She immediately took my phone and hung up before putting it in her pocket.

"Hey Jack, so we have to have everyone leave the house, someone found a girl who is seriously injured." She gave me a quick smile before helping me up.

"Yeah, I know I was about to call 911 before you took my phone away!" I practically screamed at her as panic was rushing through my whole body.

"Jack, calm down, we already did that. All we need to do is get everyone out without letting them know about the situation, can you help me with that?" Her tone was sweet and innocent which made me instantly agree to her plan. After agreeing with Emily I was rushed out into a crowd of people that I needed to get out of the house.

I quickly tried to make my way through the crowd of people, telling them that they need to leave due to a pipe burst in the bathroom but no one was making any effort to leave. I kept getting pushed around and hit by people which eventually ended up with me on the floor. I tried to steady my breathing but nothing was working, the room was spinning more than before and everything felt too close for comfort. The last thing I saw before everything went back was people rushing out and a smiling Emily looking down at me.

I was woken up to a slight headache and uncomfortable feeling going through my wrist and legs. I tried to move my limps to get comfortable but nothing would budge. I looked down to see that I was tied up in an old wooden chair that was placed in what looks like an attic. I tried to squirm around but that old ended with rope burned on my wrist. I suddenly stopped when I heard movement in the corner of the room. I looked towards that direction to find Emily walking towards me with a large knife in her hands. My whole body froze at the sight of the knife along with Emily's wicked smile.

"Well, looks who's awake!" Emily's eye brightened as the fake enthusiastic words left her mouth.

"Emily? What's going on? Let me go!" I screamed at the ginger girl who has now sat in front of me.

"Oh, you poor thing! I haven't even explained why you are here, how silly of me. You see you saw something that you weren't supposed to see. Hailey was our little toy but apparently, she was able to get out and well I think you know the rest of the story. Anyway, you are now to replace her! You shall do everything we say and if you ever try to tell anyone about anything here you will be punished, okay?" Her fake smile grew as she waited for my answer.

"Are you crazy? What do you mean by we? What makes you think that I will easily do what you say?" I spit back at her with a disgusted face.

"My roommates and I, of course, I don't work this by myself, but you are mine and only mine. I hope that the others realize that and if they don't then they will have to face me themselves. And like I said if you don't do what I say then you will be punished." She then picked up the knife that she was holding and pressed it to my cheek. She looked at me with an evil smile before cutting deeply into my left cheek. I hissed at the pain and cringed at the feeling of blood dripping down my cheek. Are we clear now? Emily asked before bringing the now bloodied knife to her lips, she gave a glance at the knife before licking off my blood.

I thought about it before letting out a loud sigh. There was no way to get out of this without agreeing to whatever she says. Without saying anything I slowly nod my head yes which made Emily let out a high pitched squeal.

"Yay!" Was all she said before giving me a sudden kiss on the cheek and picking herself up to leave the room. She left me in the dark attic, leaving me wondering what the hell just happened.
