Lovesong

Chapter 1

*Reegan's POV*
My favourite two six lettered words; School and Monday. I love school, don't get me wrong but boy is it a struggle even for me, Reegan Walters Straight A student to get out of bed and ready for school on a Monday morning. I'd much prefer to be still in bed on my laptop or reading. But no, I start my daily morning routine and head to school so I get there 30 minutes earlier than I should. Why 30 minutes earlier you ask? Well I like to help the teachers out. I know I practically scream 'Teachers Pet". Trust me, that's not the first time I've been called that.

The corridors are completely bare like usual. Any sane person would be still in bed cherishing the time they left till they are forced to depart for school. Except me. I quickly greet the cleaner Summer and notice she is cleaning some graffiti from a younger students locker. Poor kid.

Once I finish chatting to her for a bit, I headed towards my English teacher's classroom to help her out for the remaining time I have left till school starts.

"Good morning Miss Brule" I greeted her cheerfully upon entering her classroom.

"Oh, good morning Reegan" she said lifting her head out of the novel she was reading.

"What do you have for me to do this morning?" I ask placing my bag next to my normal seat.

"Umm, hmm let me see" she da concentrating hard on her thoughts. "I'm positive you did everything I needed done today for me yesterday. You're such a good student Reegan. You don't need to come in to help me every morning you know that right?"

"Yes I know that Miss B but I like to help you"

"Well you don't have to today, go relax a bit before the bell rings. I'll see you soon" she smiles at me.

"Okay, if you're sure" I said picking up my bag and exiting the classroom.

That completely ruins my daily routine. Dang you Miss B. I placed my bag back over my shoulders and walked towards the library. Just as I was about to reach the entryway to the library a big Boulder knocks into me, forcing me to fall backwards into the ground and land on my butt.

"Ouch!" I exclaim as I hit the hard tiles.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" The person say to me. "Wait Reegan is that you?"

"Of course it's me. Clumsy me" I say packing my books back into my bag not yet seeing who I slammed into.

"Reegan look at me" A soft but yet familiar voice says.

I pause what I'm doing and look up to see none other than Jason Matthews the school's bad boy and also the boy I have the biggest crush on.

"Jason, why were you rushing out of the library, let alone being here so early?" I blush crimson.

"It's Jay" He snapped harshly.

"Oh sorry" I said pushing a stray piece of hair behind my ear.

His face fell, kind of like I did.

"I didn't mean to snap at you sorry, I hate when people call me Jason"

"I didn't know, don't worry it won't happen again" I said softly rubbing my sore wrist.

"Did you hurt yourself?" He asked concerned.

"I must have landed on my wrist when I fell back, but I'll be fine I'm sure"

"I'm sorry to leave like this when I probably should take you to see the nurse but I have to go hand something in. I'll see you in class!" He said lifting me back up to a standing postiom before running down the corridor. "Sorry again!" He yelled back as he ran around the corner.

And like that he was gone from my vision.

"Ow my but hurts" I say to no one as I enter the library.

The library was my sanctuary. Rows upon rows upon rows of books lined the library, all of them calling out my name. I don't like being around a lot of people and because no one ever comes in here, it's perfect for me. I don't even think the students know we have a library. I'm surprised Jason does actually. I walk over to one of the shelves and skim my across all the titles to find one that perks my interest. Picking one off the shelf, I slowly walk over and sit down in one of the seats so I can start to read the book.

Just as I got comfortable and started reading the first page the bell ring through the whole school signalling the beginning of class. Typical, I mutter to myself before packing up t things and heading to begin the day.

A/N hey guys! So yeah this is my new story 'lovesong'! I have so many story ideas rattling around my head at the moment and I just need to write them all down! It's insane. So this was just a starting chapter/prologue kinda thing to introduce the storyline and the characters a bit. I hope you enjoy! Next update coming hopefully soon! Thanks!
