Chapter 1 ♡

A/N: I'll be honest, this is not the best written story ever. And there's probably plenty of grammar mistakes.

Darren and I were playing jackstones.

"You will lose in this game MJ. So just give up" Darren mocked that made me glare. Fairplay is not in his vocabulary.

"Because you're so madaya. You're being unfair!" I groaned and he just laughed.

Suddenly the ball rolled under the sofa. Darren and I exchanged looks. I simply shrugged my shoulders and smirked. Darren sighed and took it.

"MJ! I can't reach for it," he complained and looked at me.

"Try again. Madaya ka naman eh," I said that made him glare. Ha!

Then the next thing I knew, Darren was screaming the hell out while holding his bleeding hand.

"How's my son?" Tita Marinel worriedly asked. She's tita Marinel Espanto. Mother of Darren. She's my mom's bestfriend.

"He's now okay. He just need some rest. And of course, you need to come here every week to have check-ups." The doctor amswered that made all of us sigh in relief.

"Okay. Thank you," tita Marinel muttered as she sat down.

I was so worried for my bestfriend Darren. That dog really.

I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I pulled it out and it's my ate texted me.

From: Ate kulet

you need to go home na. Our flight will be tonight, remember. We will go back to the Philippines na. Hurry up, mag-eempake pa tayo. Aayusin pa natin ang bahay. See you later..

"Ah, Tita it seems that I need to go home na. Ngayon na pala flight namin pabalik sa Pilipinas. Kakausapin ko lang po si Darren pwede po ba?" I said.

"Sure anak. As you have said that you are now going back to the Philippines later and this is the right time to say goodbye to Darren." She smiled and gave me hug. I pulled back the hug and plastered a smile in my face as I opened the door.

I walked near to Darren and sat on the chair beside his bed. He's still sleeping.

"Well, we are now going back to the Philippines. I will leave you again. We will be apart from each other. I'll miss you. Especially our bonding together.. I'll miss you talaga. Goodbye Darren." I uttered as I caressed his hair.

I held his hands and kissed him in his forehead.

I entered the house and dashed to my room. I put my bag on my bed. Packed all my things up. And took the pink teddy bear that Darren gave me when we were only 8 years old. I went down the stairs.

"You ready?" My ate asked as soon as we entered the car. I nodded. "Okay. Airport, here we come!"

We're just sitting on the chairs while we're waiting for our flight to be call. So boring. I'm not used that Darren is not with me. And now, we'll be apart from each other. He's my only friend and my best friend aside from my ate. I felt a pang of guilt for not waitng him to wake. I just sighed.

"Ate," I said as I avert my gaze to her. "Can I just go to the rest room?" I asked and she nodded.

"Sure. Bilisan mo lang."

I just washed my hands and my face. I'm looking at my reflection to the mirror. Ugh! It was so boring that I wanna freak out. But I can't because there were so many girls here. So I just went out of this restroom. I roamed around the airport.

"Flight 8J-563 will be boarding in fifteen minutes. Please proceed to the Gate 431 as we will board to the aircraft. I repeat Flight 8J-563 will be boarding in fifteen minutes. Please proceed to the Gate 431 as we will board to the aircraft. Thank you." I heard the intercom and I quickly ran to the place where we're waiting.

Hay thank God, they're still there.

"Ba't ang tagal mo?" My ate asked.

"Uh ate dami kasing nakapila sa rest room kaya natagalan ako." I lied.

"Tara na nga." She said and grabbed my hands.

"Okay ate!!" I beamly replied but deep inside, I want to stay and be with Darren instead.

I said my goodbye to my Lolo and Lola.

As we arrived, I looked at the window and took a deep breathe. Hah! Finally I will soon meet the Philippines for a long time.
