We walked up to the garage in a group. Me, hanging back at the end because I didn't know really what was going on. Michael pulled open his garage and threw four bean bags in a circle. Then, he set the pizza down around by each bean bag. Then, with the last one, he spun around in a circle looking at the floor like he was lost.
"Umm.. what are you doing?" I asked with a slight chuckle.
"We don't have a spot for you!" He look kind of worried as he said it.
"That's fine, I'll just sit on the floor next to one of you guys."
"Okay then sit by me!" Calum said. He slapped the bean bag until it flattened out a little more. His was the widest, so I had room to sit on the bean bag too.
Once I was seated, Ashton set the last box of pizza in front of me. I opened it to see a large pepperoni pizza.
"I just assumed you had good taste in food, so pepperoni pizza it is. I know its large, sorry if you can't finish it." Ashton gave a smile as he devoured his first slice.
They all had a large pepperoni pizza too. Im guessing it was just a group thing they did when they practiced together.
I started to eat my pizza, and all they guys were staring at me. I was pushed back to back with Calum so my ass wasn't half on and half off the bean bag. He nudged my arm and said, "Pretty good right?"
It actually was really good... So I just nodded as I was still chewing my food. I was a little curious still as to their accents. I figured I might as well ask to get it off my mind, so when I was done with my bite I got up the courage to ask.
"What kind off accent do you guys have? It sounds really European..." When I finished asking, Luke was the only one without food in his mouth.
"Funny you should ask," he said pointing his finger in a shaking movement, bouncing it off his knee, "We are all from Australia, Sydney actually. So close, but no dice."
"Oh..." I found it weird that four families with no relation were all from Australia, and around the same area too. "How did you all end up in the same town, and a small one at that?"
Now Michael was the one without food in his mouth so he responded with, "Well, all of our moms have worked together since we were babies, so when their company had a job offer in America they offered it to them and they all said yes. So we moved here and have lived here since."
"Since when?" I asked.
"Mhmm probably around what... sixth grade?" Calum answered with more of a question, as he looked at the boys to see if he got his estimation right. They all nodded, then he looked to me and nodded as well. I simply nodded back, "Well alright then."
I looked down to realize that I had eaten almost half my pizza already. I can eat a lot more than people think... It's cool really, I never feel like I have to diet. I also hadn't eaten much lately, being too focused on adjusting to a new place and all. The boys looked down at my box and gave me a look of surprise.
"Wow," said Luke, "You can eat a lot... That's pretty wicked."
"Thanks I guess," I laughed a little at the compliment, as it was pretty unusual, but a compliment none the less. I started back on my pizza and noticed the boys were almost done as well.
Calum and Michael finished their pizzas first, then proceeded to get their instruments ready. Michael tuned his guitar, and Calum started to tune his bass. I had one piece left and was debating finishing it off or not. I decided i was too hungry not to so i grabbed it and downed it in a handful of bites.
