Calum- The New Kid (AU)

Walking in school, I already hear rumors about how the new kid is hot and whatnot. I roll my eyes as I hear the populars talking about the new kid and head over to my locker. I grab my things and practically run to my class so I'm not late. Entering the class, I sit down and wait for my teacher to give out the assignment. Five minutes into the class the door opens revealing an extremely attractive boy with tan skin and black hair with blonde-ish highlights. He was wearing black skinny jeans, Converse, a plain black tee, and a leather jacket. All the students got quiet and started whispering to one another. "Hello. You must be Calum, correct?" The teacher asks trying to not make him uncomfortable, as he's standing in front of the class. He nods cutely as he stuffs his hands in his pockets and the teachers says, "Alright. You can take a seat in that empty desk infront of (Y/n). (Y/n), raise your hand please." I hesitantly raise my hand and he smiles a little as he walks over staring at me and then sitting down. I blush and decide to sort out all my school work as my bookbag was a mess of them. As I was sorting out the papers, my pencil got pushed off my desk and I had too many things on my lap and desk to move and get it. "Hey... Um, Calum?" "What?" He snapped as he turned around and I stared at him. His face immediatly softened and he sighed and said, "I'm sorry. What do you need?" "Can you get me my pencil, please? It's under your seat." He nodded and picked it up and placed it on my desk. "Thanks." I said. "Welcome." He said smiling. I smiled back and said, "You know... I could show you around the school since you're new and stuff." I said as I put all my papers in a folder and stuffed it in my bookbag. "That sounds good." He said as he smiled.

| 4 months later |

Me and and Calum are now bestfriends. I'm the only person that he's actually talked to in the school year so far. It's been really fun hanging out with Calum actually. He's such a sweet guy. If you can't tell, I have a crush on him. Currently, my parents are both argueing with eachother. Hearing a loud crash and some more yelling, I break down in tears and call the only person who I know can help me when stuff like this happens. Calum. The phone rings and after a few moments I hear that angelic voice answer. "Hello?" "H-hey Cal." I say sniffling. "(Y/n)? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He asks frantically. "My parents are f-fighting... again. Can I come over a-and maybe stay the night?" "Sure, babe. I'll see you in a bit." He says as I feel butterflies in my stomach. I grab a some clothes and a few other things and stuff them into a bag before grabbing my wallet and phone. I sneak out through the back door and walk to Calum's house. When I finally get there I knock on the door and his mom, Joy opens up. She hugs me and let's me in the house as she says, "Cal's upstairs." "Thank you." I say as I walk to his room. I knock on the door and I hear the doorknob jiggle before I'm engulfed in a tight hug. I break down crying again. He closes the door and kisses my forehead as he rubs comforting circles on my back. "T-they were fighting about how my dad is n-never home anymore and from what I c-could hear, they started throwing things at eacho-other." I explained as I tightened my grip around his torso. He pulls away from the hug and we both sit down on his bed. He pulls me into his lap and wraps his arms around my waist as he says, "Please don't cry. I understansd that it's very tough for you right now but you know I hate seeing you cry." I look up at him and he wipes away my last tears as I blush and he slightly smiles. We ended up cuddling and falling asleep.

| The next morning |

I wake up and as I'm about to sit up I feel a grip on my waist. I then realize it's Calum and I can feel my cheeks burn. He starts stirring and his grip on me get tighter as he brings ne closer in his chest. I close my eyes and snuggle into him more if that's even possible right now. "Morning." I hear as I open my eyes to see him looking at me. I smile and mumble a, "Goodmorning." Then and there did I realize how close our faces were. I see him start to lean in and I meet him halfway in a most amazing kiss. Recently my feelings for Calum have grown a lot and everytime he was near me I was nervous. I felt fireworks shoot through my body as our lips moved in sync and I could feel him smile as he cupped my face. He pulled away and looked at me as I blushed and hid my face in his chest. Chuckling, he said, "You don't know how long I've waited to do that." "How long?" I questioned as I looked up at him. "Ever since you first talked to me." I smiled and he pressed another kiss on my lips. "Will you please be my girlfriend?" My heart stopped beating for a quick second and I nodded as I smiled widely and kissed him. We cuddled the entire day after that.
